Air Tran out of Philly

After many years of being a loyal customer, I've finaly given up on US Airways. There has been too many flights with shabby equipment, lousy customer service and high airfares.

So today I booked our flights for our October trip on Air Tran. It was between them and Southwest but the flight availability on Air Tran was better and the prices were almost the same... and were almost $250 less then US Airways.

So I know I need to keep an eye on our flights because they might change between now and October... but does that happen as much now the Southwest owns Air Tran. Also, is there anything else I should be aware of our watch out for?

Thanks
Ty

I am interested in the replies to your post as well. We usually fly SW out of Philly in November, but was disappointed to find that they had barely any non-stop flights to MCO. So I booked Air Tran for the first time, too. Fares were a little better than SW - even with the extra reserved seating charge - but of course we'll be paying more for baggage unless the merger is completed by November. From what I understand, the two airlines will be merging operations and policies over the next two years.

I, too, am concerned about change in flight times. I'm hoping that SW has a positive influence on Air Tran, as SW has never changed a flight time on us. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
