I just called air tran to get the luggage limits from the horse's mouth.
3 checked per person 1st one 62 inches combined
2 and 3 55 inches combined and 70 ibs mas per bag.
carry on 10 in high, 16 long and 24 wide, your allowed i carry on, not including a umbrella, camera bag and purse.
I asked about food in checked luggage and they said thats not a promblem.

buy the way i measeure my suitcase's which are kinda old @ least 5 yrs, and they JUST made it compared to what i have seen in the store's there very small.
