Air Tran, buying online

Hi All-
We have flown air tran before, but purchased through a travel agent. This time we are booking the trip ourselves. The cheapest rates are the internet and fun fares. Is there any reason we shouldn't get those (as oppsed to coach or business class that have seat preselection)?
Just a little nervous. Also, is there preboarding on air tran? I haven't taken one young enough to preboard so I don't remember paying attention.

Take the cheaper fares while they are available. Airtran does do preboarding for familes with small children, but you do get assigned seats when you check in.

Have no fear with booking online with AirTran, have done it on our last 3 trips to WDW as well as this coming OCT. Take advantage of the cheaper fares. Remember though you can't select seats until you check in 24 hours in advance of the departure. The do allow preboarding for those with small children.

Right. AirTran assigns seats. For the lowest fares, you do not get to select seats until check in, but you can check in online 24 hours prior to departure.
