Does anyone know if they provide ear phones or if we should bring our own?
I couldn't see the info on the website, it just says most ear phones should fit the jack in the armrest.

Sometimes they have earbuds but it's hit or miss. Any standard miniplug headphones will work.

According to their website, XM service is free and you can use your own earphones or they will give out complimentary ones for you to keep. But as Scubacat mentioned, the plane might not be stocked with them or they might run out.

They used to walk through before taxi and handed them out. They haven't done that in the last several trips we have taken, but people asked and they had them available. They were standard $1 earbuds. I find most of the time there is a problem with the jack on the seat I am in and the silly thing never works for me.

I've flown AirTran numerous times and have never heard them offer earbuds. I always make sure to bring mine.
