Is anyone else collecting Air tran coupons from Wendys? How many do you have? I started this week and am only up to 10. I've got a loooong way to go but it should be worth it in the end.

My husband is doing this. I think he said he only needs 4 cups. My daughter and I need many more than that though.

If you search, there's another thread on this program...works likes a charm!

We booked using cups/rewards June '06, no problem - except for new black out dates we had to work around....good luck.

Justhat, if the girl in the picture is your daughter you might want to read the programs' fine print that says you need to be 18 years old to qualify for a free flight. She doesn't quite look like she'll make it. I drive through the parking lot of two Wendy's on my way to work and since the start of the promotion I've picked up 95 cups at a cost of $0.00. I need 29 more for a second round trip.

You're right Michael623, I should have clarified that. Only my husband is collecting the cups. I never go to Wendy's and don't drink soda so it would be a waste, plus I need lots of cups. He only needs 4 or 8 cups, I forget, cause he already has credits in his account from previous flights. I meant that if she and I did it we'd need many more cups than him (though yes, she's excluded anyway). He's been flying a lot for interviews lately so he's racked up lots of credits. My husband though is a Wendy's addict, so he'll probably end up getting more cups than he needs and give them to my account so maybe I'll get up towards the 2 roundtrips too!

As long as the parent is over 18 to become a member, her daughter can use the ticket. I confirmed with Air Tran

I was in Wendys a few days ago and saw a man sitting next to the trash, sometimes he picked up the cups from the trash and sometimes he just asked people to give it to him. During the period I was there I think he at least collected 15.
I just bought the cups :) However, I also realized that there is a risk, as I have to use it within a year and there may not be seats available. I thought around $128 for two tickets, I will just take the risk.

I'm just wondering how difficult these reward seats are to get. I've been following these threads closely and wonder if all these reward flights that everyone is earning are going to be hard to redeem, especially for flights to Orlando. I have ff miles with NW airlines and flights to Orlando are nearly impossible to get. If Air Tran has the same restrictions, I just hope everyone here is collecting these coupons for nothing.

So does anyone here have experience with AirTrans reward program? How hard is it to get seats to MCO?

Air Tran is very easy to work with...we've redeemed vouchers/points in the past. Of course, they are capacity controlled & have black out dates (more this year than last...specifically 2 dates we wanted in June - had to adjust vacation dates).

For June we were recently able to book 3 seats on direct flights, so I'm happy.

Last year, initially I had to book connecting flights & purchase 1 RT ticket, but they allow you to change res. 1 time & I was able to secure direct flights for December and credit the ticket price to my account (without paying the change fee - ask to speak to a supervisor if they won't waive it).

Good Luck.
