Hi. I've been searching for airline tickets, like the rest of you, I'm sure. Anyway, when I booked our package for 8/13-8/20, I asked about airfare. If you fly airtran and ask the CRO, they will give you a rt flight anywhere airtran flies to orlando for $129 pp/rt. Unfortunately, all flights were booked for my dates, so I am stuck with airfare of over $200. Please call and ask if you are booked during the free dining promotion. So far, southwest has terrible prices, so I hope I can help someone else!

Thanks for the info!! I'll bet there are no flights available for my dates, either, but I'll check!

Wow, you have me very excited!!! But I'm kinda new and I was wondering if you could help. What or who is a CRO and where do I call? Airtran does not yet have prices out for when we want to travel (11/27-12/4), but I know that they are the only airline that has straight flights out of a smaller airport by us ( DH really doesn't want to fly out of detroit) Any help would be SO greatly appericated!!! Thank you!

Just got off the phone with CRO. At First they gave me $244 pp USAIR out of PHL but when I asked her about a special with AIRTRAN she put me on hold. When she came back, told me they were running a special and it would be $157 but flight times were arriving late at night and leaving early in AM. I am going to wait a little while longer for our flights for the end of August. I hope I don't regret this.

I have my travel agent calling now to see what the Airtran rate is thru CRO for late Sept/ early Oct.
If the special is not available, I may just go ahead and book the $79 each way fare from PHL-MCO.
I promised myself that this year I would wait until July to book with SW and hope for a Ding! rate. But now I am worried that their prices won't even be as good as this $79 fare form AT.

Hey disneydaveb, where did you get the $79 each way rate. I would also be flying PHL-MCO and the lowest I saw was $109 each way.
Please share if you don't mind..... :teeth:

Airtran.com. However, I am flying on Tue and Wed. I think the lowest fares are on those days.

will keep an eye on this thread! curious to see how this is going...esp with reserving the dates not yet released...wow!

i just called, and they said yup i could get good prices on tickets 149/ rt but im wanting to stay longer. You must leave orlando by Oct 4th to get the prices, arriving no later than sept 30...were staying until the 8th :(

$149 is great. What city are you flying from?
Can you book your incoming flight only for that rate and then check some other options for your flight?

This is what we booked - much lower than anything I could find on my own.

We also had pick of flight times, thankfully.

Well, I am booked. I went thru Disney and got 4 tickets on Airtran for $628. I thought that was pretty good and I was able to book non-stops at the exact times I wanted. Plus I don't have to play the Southwest Ding game.

I also originally had the $129 rt out of PHL but when I got my confirmation letter it wasn't listed. I called back and got on the Airtran website at the same time. Instead of arriving at 11:00 pm we are arriving at 4:30 pm for just $30 more (including taxes and fees) on each ticket. The extra hours at WDW and the earlier time are worth the money. The late time was still available but I didn't want it. Both flights are non-stops, too. Yeah!

I posted this in a similar thread over in the Resorts section, but I thought I'd post here as well......
I just received my Airtran tickets from Disney. They are actual paper tickets. Didn't realize we were getting paper tickets. So now we can't check in and choose our seats 24 hrs in advance. I'm not too worried about it, but I hope there is not a problem getting seats togehter. If not all 4 of us, at least 2 and 2. I can't have DD9 and DD6 sitting by themselves.
Anyone else book the Airtran deal with the free dining and receive paper tickets?

Yes, I got the paper tickets too. There is only me and ds so I am hoping we can still get our seats together. It stinks that we cannot do the online check in. If I would have known that I am not sure I would have booked through CRO but I haven't been able to get that great of deal anywhere else.

Oh Well
Thresa

I just booked thru Disney and got the exact dates and times (1 way with 1 stop but we don't get off the plane and the return is non stop) and we are paying $635 for 4 of us from Buffalo. That is $200 cheaper than their own web site plus I was told we could do on line check in 24h before. I am used to Southwest so I hope Airtran works out!

I got paper tickets too!!! I have a party of 6 with 4 kids so a bit concerned that I can't check in 24 hours before. I wonder if Airtran assigns seats before hand to the paper ticket holders or just waits till they check in at the airport.
