I'm thinking about getting one of those portable jobbies from Cabella's. I think they're 80.00 or so.

Remember you get what you pay for. And if Cabelas has it for $80 it's worth $50 the Cabelas near here is very over priced. Even there bargain cave is over priced. I don't think you will be happy with the Cabelas unit. A good fan is $50 (Patton high velocity at BJ's or Costco)

You're not kidding on it being over priced. We'll be reserching before any purchases, I'm sure we could get something better for that price. But thank you!

I once had a TT and the roof a/c went out. I got a 12000 btu from HD and it froze us out. It is the kind that doesn't have to have a drain. Only thing is it has 2 exhaust vents. We had to open a window and vent it out the window. Just duct tapped the window opening. I know it is kinda ghetto but we were at Daytona for the races. So no one cared. I think everyone was too drunk to notice. LOL

That isn't as bad as I saw a couple years ago they had a window unit sitting on a flat trailer next to the pop up and had flex duct taped to the discharge and stuffed through the side of the canvas. I should have taken a picture.
I allways turned the thermostat knob all the way down and the fan on high when we left the camper so it was real cold when we came back. But now I have installed a wall thermostat kit (no knobs) so I just set it on 70 an leave it.
