I know us Canadians love to complain about Air Canada and there is a sizable never-AC group. But I just want to put it out there that Air Canada has been nothing but amazing in helping me deal with the changes caused by the hurricane and I have never had a bad flight on the airline.

AC was one of the first airlines to enact a hurricane policy for Florida and I love dealing with their phone agents a lot more than I have in dealing with some other airlines.

I too was extremely happy with the changes/cancellations they made for us, fee free. Kudos to Air Canada.

I also just had a really great CS experience with Air Canada! It's the first time I've dealt with their customer service department and it was so easy and they were so accommodating. :)

This is the link for their goodwill policy. I'm reading on another board about a family stuck in Orlando until next Saturday because their flight home has been cancelled. I'm assuming it's Air Transat as they fly in and out of mco on Saturday. I know Air Canada might cost a bit more (not always) than a charter, but it's money well spent. Having the choice of multiple flights per day improves ones' chances of modifying travel when necessary.

Aeroplan was awesome as well. Just a short wait and they rescheduled to what we wanted.

AC gets a bad rap on its domestic flights, USA or international are highly rated. I've used AC for travel to the UK 3 times in 5 years... all were great
