Air Canada Vacations suspending some service

Air Canada Vacations will be suspending service to 14 of its sun destinations. See link above.

In addition to destinations listed in that link, there may be other remaining destinations that see service cut from certain cities. For example, Air Canada service from Ottawa to Varadero, Punta Cana and Cancun is being suspended effective January 24th as well. Their service from Ottawa to Orlando and Tampa is being suspended until the end of February.

Yeah. Things are getting a little crazy. I’m hoping it gets better in the next few weeks.

It does suck that those cancellations are for the rest of the typical Caribbean travel season. If Omicron subsides and leaves us in a really good place in a few weeks, I can imagine there will be lots of demand in March/April. But maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

The travel industry has certainly suffered from all of this and I’m sure the islands are hurting as well. Can’t wait for the day this is behind us and we move freely where we want, when we want. I moved a cruise to next year thinking surely this will all be long over but I think that was my thought last year at this time.
