At our last visit in July, we were told the AIBO exhibit at Innoventions was being closed down. They'd already been shunted around to make way for some new exhibits (Fire safety w/ Washington Mutual I think?) and were being completely taken out this Fall.
Well it's Fall. Anyone know the status of this? What will happen to the AIBOs? My wife and I are huge fans of the display, especially the cast members who worked there. Since they didn't have much to do besides rattle off their AIBO script speech, we had great fun just chatting with them about all sorts of topics.
We shall truly miss Roger, Lily/Lucy, Jesse & Cody. Wish we could adopt them....
On a brighter note, we were told that some of the more humanoid 'bots from Honda and others had recently been displayed to Cast Members and that further demonstrations may be forthcoming. Not as cute, tho...
