Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

Normally I let "little kids" & other folks in wheelchairs pet him. But when its a ship Full of kids i dont let anyone. :(

He works for the "petting" that i give him. If i let everyone pet him, He wont work for me.

I'm a trainer of Service dogs.

Sorry :(

No problem..... wanted to know ahead of time to prepare my youngest. She is a dog fanatic. :) She has enjoyed looking at the pictures of him from your trip report. :)

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I am in a super-good mood today. I had a seminar all morning regarding my Cambodia trip, then I went wedding dress :bride: shopping with my husband's sister. Now I'm home catching up on our cruise thread. Life is good! ::yes::

Wendy, I LOVE your scrapbook pics! Keep postin' 'em!

Hi Mark & Shadow. Glad to have you onboard with us.

CrzyDsnyFan - congrats on your upgrade!

Thanks Alice. Had to talk DH into it way back when I booked it a year ago but fingers crossed that it was worth the extra money for the extra space. The kids will probably want to spread out. LOL

Got a ton of stuff to do before we sail but #1 on my list is getting better. Came down with something this morning and it is kicking my butt. Oh well gotta get soem more rest and take some more medicine.

Hey guys!

Looks like the upgrade fairy has been kind to most of my fellow dis'ers. Glad you guys are getting some pixie dust. :goodvibes

We'll be on this cruise. This is one of my favorite pictures from the Wonder (with Nassau in the distance).

We just booked 2 weeks ago. Here are the top 6 reasons why we decided to join you all.

6. Free air fare via Rapid Reward Tickets on SWA
5. Nice winter get-away (for DW and I) without the kids
4. We're excited to check out the dry dock upgrades to the Wonder
3. Hoping to book something on the "Dream" while on-board.
2. This cruise will make us Platinum CC Members
1. We're cruising with our friends from Georgia who we met on the Magic in 2002 and have cruised with almost every year since.

And we are excited.

Welcome Monstro..... and I see Lynn is back in the "real world" :surfweb:
Finishing FE gifts today. Completely forgot about the pillow cases and picture matting for autographs!!! Need to grab those somewhere today and get busy with them!!!!!

Did I miss this information being posted in this thread? I probably did but if I didn't are any of you as excited by this as I am. I know its not 100% sure but one can hope.

I have always, always, always wanted to see a launch. I have even thought about planning a trip around launch dates but I know so many do not launch as planned. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this goes off as planned. Wouldn't it be great to view this from the deck of the Wonder? What a view we would have!

Space Shuttle Atlantis
Launch date: November 12, 2009
Launch time: approx. 4:22 p.m. EDT
Launch site: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida
STS-129 The flight will deliver components including two spare gyroscopes, two nitrogen tank assemblies, two pump modules, an ammonia tank assembly and a spare latching end effector for the station's robotic arm to the International Space Station.

Hey Jill the last time I saw those toes they were next to a stingray!

Now three of us from this thread have been upgraded to that area of the ship but your on the starboard side while we are on port. How cool!

Pretty cool news. Thanks for sharing. My son's are currently learning about the solar system in school and they are definitely starting to get more into the space program. So this will be a great experience for all of us.

:yay:We leave in 25 days! :yay:

Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Welcome Monstro!!! Exciting news about the launch...I saw a launch from KSC a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. I have heard that the captain will hold the ship to make sure folks can see the launch...hopefully it will work out. :)

Ran around doing errands today and managed to score travel size containers of my hair conditioner! (Sorry guys---I know only a girl would get excited by that! lol) I also picked up single use Tide at Target....I love their travel size department.

I do have a mini emergency. :scared1: I can't find my FE that I used in February!
Guess I need to keep cleaning until I find it.

Jill

DH is is SO excited about the launch that we are going to try to visit the Space Center the day before. Appparently he read it is scheduled for 4pm and we sail at 5pm so it would be going right over our heads. He is like a little kid he is so psyched :yay:
Our DIS meet is starting to get really huge. :grouphug: Do you suppose we should make oursleves name tags or something with our screen names and real names too? I know we will have bracelets but I mean for the meet purposes to make it easier for each other? This is an idea that just popped into my head and I am just throwing it out there...:confused3 I hope we can get pictures too!:cool1:
