Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

No worries! Hilarious!!! I bet that would grab the attention of other dis'ers reading our thread :lmao:

Yeah it worked out nicely didn't it? Oh when you get a sec check your e-mail I am sending you a PM.

That stinks about your cell! Thank goodness you had insurance!

Oh my gosh:rotfl2:
that cell phone story was priceless! I am so glad you have insurance on it!
isn't it amazing how fast something like that can happen and all you can do is just stare down in disbelief?
never a dull moment here!
I have considered packing does that count?:rotfl:
I think the change in the weather will force that issue soon. Time is finally moving quickly!:woohoo:

IT did happen so quickly, I was utterly stunned! At least everyone is getting a good laugh at it here. One of those things you can't change so might as well laugh at the stupidity of it!

Girls and I are making FE gifts today.... their excitement is building so much too!

I couldn't imagine watching my cell go down the tubes :scared1: I would feel cut off from the world :lmao:

I have a few things left to buy for the FE exchange so DH and I are headed to the store :banana::banana:

When is the final FE count coming? I'll need it to finish up mine...

And you know what that means...it's ALMOST TIME!!! :goodvibes

Harmony,

The cut off will be on 10/02 (next Friday) I was going to send the final list on Friday night. I went ahead and sent you an e-mail with the most current info :thumbsup2

I had a dream that we were on the cruise last night, and in my dream I cried because three nights just weren't enough! :sad2:

I'm going to have to book onboard so I have a new cruise to obsess over!

Harmony,

I know what you mean, I have thought about that myself considering we are going from a 7 day to a 3.

I know with the Dream announcement coming a lot of people are going to want to book on board (if ressie's are open) what is everyone thinking of booking?

I know I want to do the Dream towards the beginning of the year since we are wanted to do the MR in November for our 5 year anniversary :goodvibes:lovestruc:cloud9:

Ok...finally booked our return flight, rental cars, and sleep/park/fly for night before we leave in Detroit. It was PAINFUL, :headache: but it's booked.

Harmony,

No good deals out there?

OK guys awhile back someone mentioned the Disney may be playing a Christmas Carol while we are on board. I love this movie and would like to know if it's going to be playing. Does anyone know if this is tradition or not (do they play it every year)?

The new Disney Christmas Carol comes out around the beginning of Nov. I'll bet they'll be showing it!

For Tracey (ELMO2200), make sure you fill out the medical form and let them know you require a gluten-free menu - they are fantastic about it. Both my kids are celiac and one of the many reasons we keep coming back to Disney is that they handle special dietary needs so well. Every meal they had gluten-free rolls waiting for them. My son had gluten free spaghetti every night and they had gluten-free pancakes for breakfast in the morning. They even made them special desserts. The head waiter in the dinning room will take great care of you - just make sure you let them know in advance.

We used to own a gluten-free store so we are pretty picky about the gluten-free foods since we know that there are some really good brands out there and some really bad ones as well - and Disney does a really good job of getting some of the better brands to meet the need.

Good luck!

Harmony,

No good deals out there?

Well, it's not that there aren't any good deals out there to be had, but rather all the non-stop flights wouldn't work with our schedule, so we had to choose a lay-over flight. Boy won't THAT be fun with a tired and cranky child. :furious: And then, top it off, DH wanted to save a little money and not pay for all of us to sit together. So it's me and DS sitting together (which means me attempting to pacify my 5 year old on TWO different flights) and my DH somewhere else on the plane, chillin' out, listening to his iPod :music: not hearing any of the fussing... which will turn me into THIS:

Or maybe, just maybe, all will go well. :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks nkoelr!!! I saw my doc last Friday for an official diagnosis and got my form filled out. Doc didn't want to do testing she just agreed with my list of food intolerances. I am very new to this so if you know some great products or recipes please email me or PM me!!! I have only know about my food issues since August. My doctors couldn't diagnose my auto immune disorders.... Anyway, Life is so much better when your body doesn't hate you!!!!

Harmony - You could use some Pixie Dust!!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:
I'm sure it will be fine. We moms have lots of tricks up our sleeves for distracting/entertaining the kiddos. **benadryl** :)

I am wondering if good deals have been found recently. I have been looking tonight and all I can say is ouch!!! So far the ressies I booked mid-August can't be beat. I have Budget, Thrifty, and Avis all for the same days so I can choose one. I was quickly checking though, I didn't have time to try all the discount codes....

Man, I'm away for a week and you guys are practically packed and ready to go!

I just spent the last 11 days on 3 seperate trips and I'm beat....I haven't even thought about the cruise yet. ;) I flew to Raleigh, NC to see my boyfriend before he deployed and then came back to Denver so I could fly to Philadelphia the next day for work. Flew home on Friday night and left again on Saturday to go home to KC to see my neice and nephew (3 months and 2 1/4 years..i'm told the 1/4 is important!). Got home yesterday and now I'm trying to play catch up with school and work. ARGH!

Tracey...glad to hear you are getting your food issues straightened out. I'm sure you'll have a much better cruise now. Definately get the medical form faxed into DCL...I've heard great things about it. I would also follow up with your head waiter when you get on board just to make sure he is aware.

I did finally make dinner reservations last night for the night before and the night after the cruise. Artist Point and Jiko...yummy!

Is the the historical one or the new one by Jim Carrey??? I would love to see that one.

I know, I know. I am so excited! I will start packing our bookbags etc in the next two weeks. Nothing like prep time!

Hey everyone! Been lurking and not posting. Just wanted to say I'm looking at Wonder docked in Port Canaveral right now! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe she leaves for Dry Dock today. :thumbsup2 Returning to service on the 11th?

Also, our plans have changed and we are headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for the night prior to the cruise instead of staying at the Radisson!! :cool1: We've been there several times but haven't been back in four or five years. We should be getting in around 11am and intend to spend the day at the parks and eat a late dinner at Boma. Is there a group meeting at the World?? I'm excited now more than ever!!
