Ahoy November 12th, 2009 Cruisers!!

I know what you mean about the manicure. I had a mani/pedi the day before our last cruise at Saratoga Springs Spa and experienced the same thing...I am having it done at home before I leave this time :thumbsup2

The Rainforest is nice. DH and I did it on our January cruise. The Tile Loungers are awesome! Highly recommend!

Lynn,

You're going to have to show me around the Spa the first day. My DH wouldn't let me set foot in there other than to CANCEL a ressie I had made. He thinks I'll go crazy in there and never leave! (He's right...but still!)

So because of this, I've never seen the Rainforest Room!!! I want to check it out. Will you take me? :flower3:

That way if I do go overboard (not literally, of course!) I'll be able to blame it all on you and your bad influences. :lmao:

Girl You Know It! They offer tours all during the cruise so we will for sure go to one. They take you through the treatment rooms and the villas too so you may want to take a sedative before we go :lmao:

You can blame it on me...I Ain't Skeered :rotfl:Just remember I will need all day to practice the excuse I will give Shawn at dinner so make sure I don't fall asleep in the lounger :rotfl2:

Plus I know I am buying a pass. Can't beat it for 15 bucks. I am sure Shawn would be happy if that's all you spent right?

All this spa stuff is making me jealous. ONe disadvantage to taking my kiddo's without daddy and my oldest being a cling monster, not wanting to even try the kids club. I told Lynn I am just hoping I can get them to do the kids club for an hour on CC so I can take a nap on the beach.:thumbsup2 That would be heavenly to me!!

I currently have Budget with a Discover Card code BCD S232000 for our rental car... am going to get the code from Lynn for Avis and see if that saves me any money. We are staying at the Hyatt the night before the cruise, so taking advantage of checking in at the airport from the cruise and DCL transfers on the way to the port.... will have the rental car afterwards for BLT/WDW/DC/SW.

Opinions... I have 4 1/2 days after the cruise to enjoy. Doing Sea World, Discovery Cove, MK, Disney Studios and Epcot. Staying at Bay Lake Tower all 4 nights..... trying to figure out if I should just go to Sea World on Sunday(planning on doing mostly shows, not rides)..... DC on Monday, then the parks tues/wed/thurs. Starting to wonder if I might be better off just going to BLT on Sunday.... and doing disney parks sunday/wed/thurs with Sea World moved to Tuesday. Trying to figure out how tired we might be after the cruise(like, do I want to just get to BLT and get settled in and then do a park for half a day).... or should I just get Sea World out of the way since are doing mostly shows, arrive at BLT around 7pm.... and then have full days at disney with lower crowds since it would be weekday. Do I even make any sense or am I rambling????? Any ideas???? tks

When we got off of our cruise in Feb we were super tired. We didn't feel like doing much of anything. If it was me I would go to BLT first and see how you feel. If you go there first and go to a Disney park you are close to the hotel if you realize you are too "pooped" to go on.

I am going to send you the code I used for Avis via e-mail.

OK guys bracelets have been ordered, e-mails with totals and my address have been sent. If anyone ordered and didn't get an e-mail let me know.

:cool1:

I kept refreshing last night and got right on. I booked Palo for Nassau night and then the Alone Time at the spa the afternoon of CC. I'm happy. I was booked on the 9/12 7 night to Tortola but had to cancel since my house still hasn't sold so I transferred by deposit over to this cruise as OBC. I'm hoping that covers all my spending money.

Jill

Can't wait to see them!

Would you mind sending me the code for Avis? I want to try pricing things out tonight too. Thanks!!

So I'm checking out the 3 day Navigators from a cruise the last week of July. Here is what they have listed:

Thurs - Port Canaveral
Evening Dress: casual
Show: The Golden Mickeys

Fri - Nassau
Evening Dress: Pirate or Cruise Casual
Show: Toy Story
Pirates in the Caribbean Party

Sat - Castaway Cay
Evening Dress: Cruise casual or optional Dress Up night
Show: Dreams

I couldn't get on until like 2:45 to make ressies. I was able to get on and change my stateroom but then it kicked me out. I booked the Rasul for the first night before dinner so we would be good and relaxed for the trip and Waverunner's at CC. I really wanted to do the Villa but it's realllllly expensive. We are doing the Atlantis at Nassau but didn't book through Disney thanks to my Awesome Dis Buddies!

Great news DIS friends!

While lounging in the pool today, :beach: DH and I got to talking about our fast-approaching trip and I simply stated that I have been having a difficult time finding a good deal on airfare for our return trip home.

Without really thinking much of it, I said that I would imagine flights on Monday would be cheaper than Sunday afternoon/evening (which turns out to be true). In passing I said it would probably save us money to stay in Florida one more night and fly home on Monday instead of Sunday.

Then the wheels started to turn... :scratchin :idea:What if we could stay at Old Key West on Sunday and fly home Monday...

And do you know what my DH said???

And I quote: "I'm all for anything that saves me money. And if that means staying on vacation another day, then so be it!" ::yes::

I just about shot pool water out my nose!!!

So friends, the newest installment in the Beck's Return to Paradise pre-trip report consists of me renting additional DVC points to return to WDW AFTER THE CRUISE!!!

Do I have the best husband in the whole darn world, or what?! :love2:

:banana::banana::banana:
Good for you Harmony!!! That is awesome news!
:woohoo: I am happy dancing here for you!
Did I miss something? Have you started a pre trippie and I don't know about it? I will be so sad if I have missed it! I loved your first TR!

No Annette, you didn't miss a thing! I haven't posted a pre-trip yet. I'm working on it though.

And you know what? I never even finished our first one! :scared1:

oh good! I'm glad I didn't miss anything! I loved your last one-didn't mind that it wasn't finished:goodvibes

Wow Harmony, that's great!!!

I have five cars reserved right now... I have also booked Avis using the same code as Lynn plus a coupon code. Those rates are: intermediate car mco to port $57 and port to mco $43. Both ressies should get us a free upgrade at rental counter. I could save $2 getting the next smaller car and get upgraded to intermediate... I will check rates again in 2 or 3 weeks. I feel good knowing I did something.
Today I started planning our school year up to February. :teacher: 90 days just doesn't seem so long now. I also bought accessories for my dress. Paid cash so DH wouldn't see the charge and think I'm obsessing!

Well it's official!

There is a reservation in my name at the Animal Kingdom Villas for the day we disembark!

 :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: :cool1:

This is so exciting!:cool1:

We decided to take a later flight home, so we can spend our last day at Downtown Disney!!!

Harmony ~ I am so happy for you...WHOOOO HOOOOO....Animal Kingdom is gorgeous you will love it! You do have the bomb DH :thumbsup2
