We have always done the EMH mornings in January and absolutely loved them. We get there right when the park opens, ride all of the biggies we choose several times in a row, and then leave parks around 11 -12 for nap etc. We often don't go back in the evenings, so can't help you out too much there. However we do tend to laugh at the people coming into the parks as we are leaving. Multiple times we have gotten fast passes and never even used them. Really January has always been nice and slow for us. Now we haven't been since 2004, so who knows what will happen this January. Our plan is though to hit the am EMH parks every day that they are available. We do have hoppers if we run into trouble, but usually haven't utilized the hopping option much. The evening EMH hours are new to us, and I am curious how the evening EMH hours will affect the general crowds during the day and afternoon. In my opinion, the reason why the morning EMH hours work is so few people want to get up early on vacation, so we "beat the rush" This theory also works on non EMH mornings, when we get there at park opening. We will be there 1/27-2/7 this year. Really getting excited!
