So I'm sitting here as I type this vent thread waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold with Expedia!

I got threw the first time after 30 minutes but the agent hung up on me!

I wanted to purchase a seat for my DS20 Months as I've been reading so many posts about toddlers having their own seats. I could not understand the agent and she kept telling me I had to call Delta and they couldn't help me. "I just want to buy a seat on a plane" I said. I told her I was having a hard time understand her (and I sincerely was as her accent was very thick and she didn't understand me either) and I asked if I could speak to someone else and she hung up on me! I'm sooooooooooo mad! So now - turn #2 - I've been holding for 35 minutes! Why do I have to wait so long to simply BUY something from them?!

Thanks for letting me vent...

now it's been 37 minutes....oh my....:surfweb:

Why do you have to buy through Expedia? :confused3 If you're trying to buy a flight on Delta, go online and buy it that way. Or call Delta. You don't need Expedia as the middleman.

If you want to purchase a seat for your infant there is no need to call. Just go to expedia.com or delta.com and purchase the seat for him the exact same way you would purchase a seat for yourself. There is no child or infant discount when they have their own seat.

Just a quick update incase someone else ever runs into this situation!

You can't add a traveler to an existing itinerary with Expedia - a new/separate itinerary has to be created. Also - Expedia does not allow a seat for an infant or child to be purchased unless an adult ticket is being purchased at the same time.

I booked through Delta on line and got it for the same price and NO booking fee! They simply asked you to check a box saying that you were aware that children under the age of 14 cannot travel without an adult!

I wanted to go through expedia so that if I had to make a change or if there were any problems I would just have one phone call to make instead of two - but that wasn't possible :confused3

Makes sense that you would want it all on 1 itinerary.

Expedia does not charge a fee anymore for booking, do they? I didn't pay any booking fees this past spring with them.
