Ahhhh. Delta reservation problem

I checked my flight on the delta website and it had my reservation for returning but not departing. I checked every # I had and NO departing flights were listed. So I called. They had my reservation but we were not booked on the flight to Orlando. They corrected the problem. They said that when they changed over the computer system they must have lost our information and it was a good thing I called. CHECK YOUR RESERVATION if you are flying Delta. It could have been a disaster.

You should check your reservation no matter what airline you fly. Once you book you should be checking at least weekly for any changes. Don't wait for the airline to contact you if they make changes.

A good reminder for us all. We need to be informed travelers nowadays. I make it a habit to check my flights once a month when I book 'em...doesn't matter what airline. Then, about 2 months before my departure date, I start checking on my flights every week. When I get to a few weeks prior, it's once a day!!! Obsessive? Maybe, but I don't want to be caught unawares if they make a last minute change.

Thanks this reminded me I hadn't checked my flights this week so guess what I go and check and my3:00pm flight Bos-MCO is canceled. They put us on a flight that leaves at 6:45pm and doesn't get to MCO until 10:00pm. I called and they put us on the 7am flight instead. Now the boys will have to miss a full day of school instead of 1/2 but I didn't want to get to the resort at like 11:30pm either since we are doing MK EMH at 8am next day. Looks like we'll be getting some pool time in if the weather cooperates!

We just had this happen with Delta, also. They cancelled ALL of our flights and rebooked us on flights that had a 9+ hr layover on the way there, and an 11 + hr layover on the way home. With two small kids and a disabled passenger, are you kidding?? So I had to rebook to a flight that leaves at 6 am (UGGGH!) and TOTALLY screws up our car rental, since we are now arriving 6 hrs early. Then coming home we are stuck with two connections instead of one, bumping our trip time from about 6 hrs as originally planned to over 12 hrs. We land at 10:30 pm. So I am guessing my kids will have to miss school the next day, and DH can't take another day off so he will be totally dead on his feet the next day. I am so ticked, but I am guessing that this is not the last time they will change things. I feel like I'm being penalized for planning early.

OK, I feel a little better now. Until the next change...
