AGLET – We're Gonna Tour The World Together! Updated 11/9!!!

You are looking very stylish in your new shades! :thumbsup2 Love the photos of rope drop at IG - without the team building people! :lmao:

After many visits to Epcot over the last few years we finally went on Living with the Land and sheesh - I didn't realize what I was missing. I love the prarie/farm house scene. I didn't even remember the food people at the end so your video was like a dose of ginko for my poor brain! :lmao:

I love that he got the sweatshirt because Donald looks angry! :lmao: Bonus for the sale price! Awesome!

I love an empty park in the morning. Who needs sleep? Rope drop is a must do.

Too bad about all the pictures, your shots of the lagoon are lovely though!

Living with the Land at rope drop? Can't say I've ever done that! :lmao:

Popping on here to say Congrats!!!!

Just read your trip report...Loved it!!!

And then...the suprise happy ending???

Woo hoo!!!

:thumbsup2

Empty park pictures - :thumbsup2

Glad you got some shades. Knowing that they are Disney sunglasses puts some secret magic into the times you are wearing them. ;)

I, too, am a big fan of Living with the Land, but I have to admit, I would have gone to Soarin' first and then to that.

You'll have to take a picture of Wingnut wearing the Donald sweatshirt at home. Around people.

You made me long for Epcot this morning. I think we have about eight weeks left in our countdown. Things have been so busy, I haven't stopped to look at the calendar, but I think it's noo more than four weeks until Sophie arrives and then four more weeks until WDW. :goodvibes

Love your empty Epcot pictures! So quiet and peaceful!!!

Okay, I am cracking up over DF's new sweatshirt! Love the back of it. :lmao: Score on it being on sale! Gotta love that!

Too bad your breakfast wasn't as great as it was on your previous visits. It's still looks pretty darn good though.

Nice sunshades and cool sweatshirt! The sweatshirt looks even cooler after I read that it was on sale! I'm all about getting a good deal. :thumbsup2

Yay for booking a trip to WDW and for being able to switch to POFQ. I'm sure you're already counting down the days!

Oh my goodness... I don't know why, but Wingnut's sweatshirt choice is cracking me up! I cannot stop laughing. "He looks so angry." :lmao:

Epcot in the morning is so gorgeous! (Okay, Epcot 24/7 is so gorgeous.) There are few things more satisfying than an empty Disney park.

BLESS YOU! I love the ending of Living with the Land! In fact, I rode it last week, and I thought of you when I saw blueberry boy! :rotfl:

Love the sweatshirt and BONUS on it being on sale! Funny that the CM's didn't believe the register!

Empty Epcot is beautiful!! I don't think we will get to see it that empty but it's sure nice to see the pictures!

Love the sunglasses - and the donald duck sweatshirt!!! :D

YAY for empty Living with the Land!

YAY YAY for your video too :D

Congrats on your Disney wedding/moon! What location are you thinking of? I'm way too obsessed with the Disney wedding department and love lurking on that section of the Disboards and reading all the planning journals. The weddings all look spectacular! Especially the food!

And going in October for your planning session? How lucky! Hopefully they'll still have some of the 30th anniversary stuff out! I love the Port Orleans resorts, they're so serene and beautifully landscaped. I really would love to spend much more time exploring the grounds! Or on the river boats - such a great way to get to DTD.

I love the Boardwalk resorts much more than I expected - it seems as though AKL is getting more popular (at least I'm seeing it more in TRs), but there's just something about the Boardwalk. Especially the Yacht Club, but all of them are so gorgeous and so close to the parks!

I love the Donald Duck sweatshirt!

Living with the Land is probably my favorite part of the Land Pavilion - I don't think Soarin' really fits the 'theme' in there. It works much better in DCA (in an area related to California aviation). If they changed the film to something like 'landscapes around the world' or something, I think it would be really neat and much more appropriate!

What a cool Donald sweatshirt! And I love the beautiful pics of the Epcot resort area & International Gateway at rope drop. :thumbsup2

I haven't been on Living with the Land in years, and now your pics have me missing it.

We decided to overlap our trip with a trip my parents already had scheduled in October, so they would be able to attend the different sessions with us. And we decided to be logical and cost-effective, and stay at a moderate this time around. Free dining was also released for our dates, and well, you all know we NEVER pass up the opportunity to eat!!

:rotfl2: I am in awe of all your meals in WDW.

Serioulsly though when in October? Does this mean you will be doing any other of the fall events? F&W? MNSSHP?

Around 2 weeks later, I called Disney to get our flight confirmation numbers so we could switch our seats around, check in, etc. While talking with the CM, on a whim, I asked if there was any availability at POFQ.

I am so glad you got POFQ! We check out on 10/4 (maybe 10/5 if I am able to get the extra night added..if not we will hop over to AoA for one night)

I picked out a pair of sunglasses, and Wingnut strolled over with a sweatshirt with a giant Donald Duck on the front (and back). Surprised (he really isn’t the type of guy that seeks out character-adorned clothing to wear), I asked him if this was really the one he wanted.

As his purchase was being rung up, the CM looked at the sweatshirt, surprised.

“This is actually on sale!” she announced, looking as though we had discovered the needle in the haystack of the store.

There was no sign announcing that the sweatshirt was on sale, but it kept ringing up at a sale price, so that is what she went with. She had the other CM working there check the sweatshirts in the surrounding area, and a few of them were on sale as well. “Very good find!!” she kept congratulating DF on his excellent shopping/sleuthing skills.

I know you want to see DF in his Donald Duck sweatshirt.

My new sunglasses:

Cool that the sweatshirt was on sale! :thumbsup2 And snazy sunglasses!!! :thumbsup2

Quiet Epcot entrance:

I was very excited as we approached the turnstyles to see that we were FIRST AT ROPE DROP!!

I love that entrance cause it is often like that... but in the morning it is even more void of humans ;) So peaceful.

So I focused on places that they weren't. Like in the lagoon.

Awesome pictures (and cool that you were able to get good shots without them in it)

We never seem to be at WDW when it is cold outside. I would so love to tour the World in 40-50 degree weather instead of 110 degree weather. Even when we went in January, it was 50's in the morning and 70's in the afternoon.

We leave for our next trip in 30 days and I think you saw on my Facebook page that I hurt my ankle VERY badly. It has been almost three weeks and I am just now able to get walk short distances. My physical therapist chortled when I told him my plans and he said "You will definitely be renting a scooter". Sigh. I guess I better head over to the DISabilities thread and see what my best options are .......

Can't wait to hear about your wedding plans !! Let me know if you start a PTR about that !!! I wanna read along for sure.

Nice sunglasses and sweet deal on the sweatshirt. :thumbsup2

Good job beating everyone else to be first to ride The Land that day! If you guys keep that up they're going to be forced to make it a fastpass attraction.

Thanks!!

Living with the Land IS a FP attraction, actually!!! :lmao:

THANK YOU, SARA!! I absolutely love Blueberry Boy and Tomato Girl. They are some of my favorite fruit children of all time! I also love that your enthusiasm for Living with the Land equals ours, and I was sure that wasn't even possible.

Wingnut's sweatshirt...hmmm...Donald may look so angry, but something about Wingnut's personality kind of softens that blow. That might not be the effect he was going for:lmao:, though I'm sure the warming effect was perfect!

You are very welcome!!!! Hahahaha we are VERY enthusiastic about Living with the Land!! :thumbsup2

Hahaha yeah, he's a pretty cheerful guy! Yes, he definitely needed the extra layers that morning!

Great purchases and score on the sale! That is definitely a rarity in WDW!!! Love the empty pictures of the IG. I cannot believe how much the two of you get done in the mornings!!!

I am a big fan of The Land but somehow have never made note of blueberry boy. :confused3. I loved the video though and that very distinctive Epcot music. :thumbsup2. I will watch for him next time! :)

Thanks!! Yes, we were really surprised! We are definitely morning people, we wake up early for work at home, so it's just natural to wake up early at Disney too!

Awww that part is at the very end of the ride! I don't know why, I just love him!

Awww that Donald sweatshirt is adorable! :yay:

I love all of your empty Epcot pictures! There is nothing better than Epcot in the morning! Except maybe Epcot at night during the Food and Wine festival! :rotfl:

Woo hoo, front row on Living with the Land! :cool1:

Isn't it? I think it's so funny!!

I CANNOT WAIT TO EXPERIENCE THE FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL!!! Seriously, I don't even know how I'm going to handle all of the food on our next trip!! :rotfl:

Hahahah yes, we could have pretty much had any row on any boat at that hour!

Your new shades are very nice, but I have to say that Wingnut's Donald sweatshirt completely stole the show. I love that such a laid back guy (at least that's how I perceive him) wanted the angry duck shirt! :lmao:

Thank goodness you got on The Land first thing...that line gets BRUTAL as the day wears on! :rotfl: I hope you didn't get too seasick riding in the front!

I can't wait 'til October and our stay at YC so I can use the IG entrance to Epcot...your photos are awesome!

Hahahaha it did, it's okay! He really is, it was funny that he picked Donald!

UGH I KNOW. Waiting 5 minutes??? Exhausting.

Using the IG entrance really is awesome, I have to say! It's one of my favorite parts of Disney, actually!

Day 5
Ooh Kona I love them for breakfast. I am going to check and see if we can book it again. Vinny did not care for it but I think another try is in order.
Good time to get a fp for TSM. Sorry Muppets was closed.
I do love the Muppets fountain.
I have that Elmo thing in my queue for months and have not watched it yet. Maybe I should.
If you do not like TSM then if you are ever in Universal do NOT go on Men In Black. You will regret it.
WHAT!!! You skipped Star Tours? It is not jerky and I think better than before in visualness and the ride itself.
Did you ever see “Beauty and the Beast” there? It is a good show.
I do agree about DHS, it is my least favorite park.
When going to DTD you can always go to Saratoga Springs and get off at Congress Park and then walk over. 5 minute walk. Very nice.
WPE is a great place to eat. YUM.
Sounds like I should put Artist Point on my list of places to go.
I hate bugs. Last October I surprised some friends with a Wishes Cruise and it was great but they take you out early and you see the different resorts, well by the time we got o Wilderness Lodge there were so many bugs it was disgusting. It was the only area we saw them.
Sounds like another great day at Disney.

We really love Kona, it definitely is worth another try! There's a lot of fun dishes there!

You HAVE to watch the Elmo documentary. Seriously, it is amazing and wonderful and I probably now have to watch it again because you reminded me of it.

Alright, alright, we will give Star Tours a try! I don't think we've seen Beauty and the Beast, we walked by the theater entrance though!

I didn't even think of walking from Saratoga Springs! Great idea! :thumbsup2

We loved Artist Point! Great restaurant!

Ugh, yeah, the boat bugs were gross! Sorry you had an encounter with them as well!

Day 6
Congrats on your engagement.
That is my fear forgetting the little things so I take a pic everywhere I go. LOL
Boma sounds good. I had it once and have not been back. LOL
I have yet to see a park opening. Anywhere. LOL
I love the float. So delicious.
Yeah you got your hat. It is cute.
I love the paging mr morrow shirt.
I love sitting and watching the fountain and people’s reactions.
Too bad you did not see “Illuminations”.

Day 7
You left all the toiletries? I take everyone I can get my hands on. LOL
Maybe we will try Kouzzina one day.
Nice sunglasses.
The boardwalk area is gorgeous.
Living with the land is so fun.

Wedding
So excited for you both. I am sure you will both proudly display your marriage unlike someone else I know.
When will you be there? We are from 10/8-10/20. Maybe we will see you around.

Thank you!! :goodvibes

Hahaha we've seen all of the park openings except DHS! I was so excited to finally find that hat!! :rotfl:

Hahahaha yeah, we left them! You should try Kouzzina, it's a little annoying to get to if you aren't staying in the Boardwalk area, but it's really good!

Thank you!! How lucky that you'll be in Disney for 13 days!!! :thumbsup2

:lmao:

Thanks!!! Hahaha oh I was SO annoyed!! ("Why do they have to be HERE, NOW??)

Awww we love Living with the Land, it's such a great ride!! The prairie scene is really cute!

:lmao:

Hahaha he really did! It made him happy, so that's what's important! :thumbsup2

Exactly!!! I can't ever sleep in in Disney!

Thanks!! Hahaha hey, there's no line! :thumbsup2

Popping on here to say Congrats!!!!

Just read your trip report...Loved it!!!

And then...the suprise happy ending???

Woo hoo!!!

:thumbsup2

Thank you!!!! :goodvibes Welcome! Glad to have you here!

I love having little less-obvious Disney items! A little Disney now and then is definitely not a bad thing!

Hahahaha he has, not surprisingly, not worn it since! Maybe he'll bring it for October!

You guys have such an exciting few months ahead of you!!! princess:

Love your empty Epcot pictures! So quiet and peaceful!!!

Okay, I am cracking up over DF's new sweatshirt! Love the back of it. :lmao: Score on it being on sale! Gotta love that!

Thanks!!!

Hahaha we were very happy about the sale, it's always nice when that happens!

Funny that the CM was surprised the sweatshirt was on sale! Great sunglasses too!

Hahahaha she was SHOCKED! It was really funny!

It wasn't bad, believe me! I think I had maybe built it up my mind to be something it hadn't been as well!

So am I!!! I love getting a good sale!

Of course I am!!! We're really excited!!

:rotfl:

Hahahaha it makes me laugh too, it's just so not something he would normally wear!

I agree with you completely! I love when the parks are all quiet and peaceful!

Awww I love the ending too! Yay Blueberry Boy!!! :thumbsup2

Love the sweatshirt and BONUS on it being on sale! Funny that the CM's didn't believe the register!

Empty Epcot is beautiful!! I don't think we will get to see it that empty but it's sure nice to see the pictures!

It really was funny!!! I guess things aren't on surprise sales a lot at Disney!!

We love the parks, especially Epcot, when they're nice and empty!!

Love the sunglasses - and the donald duck sweatshirt!!! :D

YAY for empty Living with the Land!

YAY YAY for your video too :D

Thanks!!!

Hahahaha I thought it was so funny that we were the ONLY people on the ride! :thumbsup2

Congrats on your Disney wedding/moon! What location are you thinking of? I'm way too obsessed with the Disney wedding department and love lurking on that section of the Disboards and reading all the planning journals. The weddings all look spectacular! Especially the food!

Thank you!!! More details to come, don't worry!!!! I love reading about the Disney weddings too, there's so many fun things you can do!

I would love that if some of the anniversary stuff was still there!! It's too bad we're missing it! I'm excited about POFQ, it does look really pretty!

I think the Boardwalk area really is my favorite! It's just so wonderful and beautiful there! And I do love their location to Epcot and DHS! :thumbsup2

I agree, I definitely like Living with the Land better than Soarin! It's a really fun ride, but WAY too short!! And I absolutely agree that places other than California should be added!

What a cool Donald sweatshirt! And I love the beautiful pics of the Epcot resort area & International Gateway at rope drop. :thumbsup2

I haven't been on Living with the Land in years, and now your pics have me missing it.

Thanks!!!

Awww you should go back!! It's one of our favorites!

:rotfl2: I am in awe of all your meals in WDW.

Serioulsly though when in October? Does this mean you will be doing any other of the fall events? F&W? MNSSHP?

I am so glad you got POFQ! We check out on 10/4 (maybe 10/5 if I am able to get the extra night added..if not we will hop over to AoA for one night)

Awesome pictures (and cool that you were able to get good shots without them in it)

Hahaha we love our Disney meals!! :thumbsup2

We will be there for F&W, but will not be going to one of the MNSSHP's. We've got a lot on our schedule as it is already!

I'm excited about POFQ, it looks really fun!

Hahahaha thank you! The IG really is the best way to enter a park, it's so nice and peaceful!

We never seem to be at WDW when it is cold outside. I would so love to tour the World in 40-50 degree weather instead of 110 degree weather. Even when we went in January, it was 50's in the morning and 70's in the afternoon.

Can't wait to hear about your wedding plans !! Let me know if you start a PTR about that !!! I wanna read along for sure.

I don't know about 40's, but I definitely prefer cooler weather over the heat! October will be a bit warmer than we're used to, but I'm sure we'll be fine! :thumbsup2

Yes, I couldn't believe the pictures of your ankle! I hope it is feeling better soon!!!

The DISabilities thread is VERY helpful with all of that info. You're thinking scooter or wheelchair? I wonder if one of the off-site companies may be a better bet for you, since it sounds like you may need mobility help also outside of the parks if you're just starting to do short distances. If you only rent inside of the parks, keep in mind all of the other walking you'll do (walking to the busses/boats), around the resorts, etc. Definitely don't stress about it, I'm sure you'll pick the best option for what you need!

I will definitely let you know, don't worry!! :thumbsup2
