Is there an age limit to little girls wearing princess dresses at the parks?

My 7 year old would love to wear her dress up costumes again this year but I am just wondering if she is getting a little old to dress up- or maybe there's no age limit at WDW? Do you have an opinion?

What kinds of things can you do for a 7 year old to make her feel special at the park? The costumes were always such a wonderful way for her to connect with the characters and get a little extra attention from CM's. A Disney T is great but just thinking of something with that extra pixie dust!

Also is there a good source for dresses/costumes in larger girl's sizes? My 7 yo is over 4' tall and needs at least a size 12. Seems like a lot of girl's sizes stop at an 8. Even Halloween is a challenge for a tall kid!

It is definitely allowed at 7 and I think it is still super cute!

I would look on Etsy for costumes. Sellers there can make custom for whatever size you need. I have been eying some of the "everyday" princess dresses on Etsy for my four year old because she doesn't like costume fabrics (and because I think the shorter dresses would be easier for her to manage climbing on playgrounds and in and out of rides)

Here is an example: https://www.etsy.com/listing/190064...auto3&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery. (I have not used this seller, just one of the first ones to pop up when I searched of an example.)

Disneyworld has tweaked their wording.

Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance—includes but is not limited to:

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character

And frankly the "adult costumes" phrase is soooo open to a variety of understandings...

Regardless, a 7 year old is allowed to wear a princess dress. :thumbsup2

Tell your seven year old to: "Rock that Princess dress!" I know mine will be wearing one :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have seen kids as old as 12 dressed up, I believe BBB's limit is about there and since you can buy a package that includes dress I would think up until that point it is acceptable.

7 absolutely. Hell at 7 I would still let mine where theres to the supermarket if that's what they wanted to do.

The summer before she turned 9 DGrD10 wanted to do a full on princess trip. I think I packed and carted 5 or 6 different dresses and accessories and she loved wearing them for pictures and character meals. She is a very tall (just caught up to my 5'6" at 10!!) girl and still she never once felt out of place dressed up.
Last summer she did not want to bring or wear any dress up - she did wear a princess tee or two.
This year she is having fun cosplaying for our upcoming trip - putting together regular clothes with some embellishments and accessories representing the princesses. As a summer project, she has also picked out a pattern and fabric to learn to sew her own Elsa dress for MNSSHP.
The princess phase passes too quickly IMHO - enjoy it while you've got it!;) (and that from the grandmom who was up ironing and organizing each night while everyone else slept LOL).

I have a tall dd as well. Back when she turned 13, we traveled to WDW with another mom and her dd who was also turning 13 (the day after we got home, but 2 days after my dd's birthday). Both girls were tall for their age, probably about 5'5'' at that time.
Well, those girls wanted to be true princesses....
So, my dd was Aurora (I went as Malificent) and her friend was Belle. Both girls were skinny enough to get away with wearing the childs' L size dress. Of course, those dresses came to their knees!!!

7 is definitely not too old for princesses. My DD10 (who is mostly a tomboy) will be 11 on our next Disney trip and when I asked if she still wanted to do BBB and dress up she said, "DUH!" I guess WDW brings out her inner princess. I think it's great and so does her little sis. :) Also, my DD10 is 4'8" tall and still wears the size 10 princess dresses from Disney Store. If you opted for a custom made dress from Etsy, you could definitely find one to fit.
