Age for Kid's Menus

I have an 11-year-old who is not a very adventuresome eater. She likes to stick to the four food groups: mac 'n cheese, pizza, grilled cheese, hot dogs. As I've been looking through menus to try to decide where to make ADRs, I'm thinking she would be a lot happier ordering off the kid's menus. They say they are for age nine and under. Does anyone know if this is a hard and fast rule? If it is, it's going to rule out some restaurants DH and I would really like to try.

No they let older ones order off the kids menu, heck I am 20 and I have ordered off the kids menu. Usually they are willing to give you what you want.

Thanks! That's great news for us. I think DD will be able to find something she likes on any of the kid's menus.

The choices are extremely limited on the kids menus.

I give my DD(12) a choice, she can order off of any menu she chooses. Sometimes she orders off of the adult menu, sometimes the kids menu.

Restaurant staff will allow any child no matter the age, to order from the kids menu.

Unless you are on the dining plan. If you are, then children 3-9 must order from the kids menu. If you order a kids' meal for your "adult" age child, you might want to consider paying oop for it instead of using her CS credit.
