Hi all,

We just bought our plane tickets and made reservations for a week at the Hard Rock in late summer. After years of splitting between WDW and USO, this will be our first Universal only Orlando vacation. We are psyched!

However, my 9 year old son wants to do the roller coasters now that he is 56 inches tall. Neither DH or I can tolerate those big coasters.

My question is: would we be allowed to allow him to ride alone (standing in line with him and watching him get on the ride)? Would it even be safe?

I really have no idea, and am open to you thoughts.

Im pretty sure he can. If he is tall enough they dont care.

If your really worried you can ask someone else in the line to ride next to him. Ride attendents might think they are his parents =p.

I have walked my kids and sometimes just one child, depending on the ride, on rides when they were your son's age. You can watch your son get on the ride and then wait at the exit area (where people get off the actual ride). You shouldn't worry about him riding alone because you will be able to see him get on and off the ride. My kids are abit older now so I can just wait at the regular exit for them now, I don't do coasters or spinning rides anymore!!

We've done this a few times with our 9 yr. old son and it's always worked out fine. As the other posters have said, you can wait in line with him if you want then just tell the workers that you're not riding and walk through to the exit where you can wait for your son.
