Age differences

My DH is 7 years older. My parents had a big problem with it when I was 18 and he was 25. He was also rock musician. That with the age difference was more than they could take.

Your parents will get over it, someday.

I'm 5 months and 16 days older than my boyfriend. My birthday is in May and his in October, so I've always been a grade ahead of him.

there are 10 yrs between my Dh and I , sometimes people think that he and our kids ( they are mine from my 1st marriage but you cant tell him that LOL) are brothers and sister Iam 38 and he is 27 and soon will be 28

We do not notice it and most people dont ask unless they see us with the kids .
But it is fun to mess with people sometimes

My DBF is 8 years, 4 months, and 4 days older than me. It has never bothered me, but at first he had a bit of a time with it.

I am 7 years older than my husband (he's about to turn 24, I just turned 31). I get strange reactions from people when I tell them that, but we look the same age so most people just kind of assume we are.

Anyway, it's all the rage in Hollywood, so I figure I'm just a trend-setter. No one really looks at Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake that oddly, do they?

I am 361 days younger than my husband. Our birthdays are 4 days apart.

I'm 4 years older than my DH...and I always remind him to respect his elders He's 34 and I'm 38

Honestly I can see how your dad would be bothered by it. When one of my bff's was 20 she started dating a 30 year old and the age difference was huge. No one could understand what a 30 year old would want with a 20 year old. In the end he ended up being a pyscho and a year after they broke up still stalks her.

Now on a positive side my other bff is dating someone 10 years older than her now and things are going really well.

I think it all depends on the person, but I'm always a little sketched out about huge age difference when people arent even able to legally drink yet. The lives of people at the college age and the late 20's can just be very very different.


I wish you the best with everything, hopefully it will all work out lovely and your dad will come around. It will just take time.

My dad's second marriage: his wife is 23 years younger than him. I feel bad because of all she is giving up by having an older husband, but she loves him and it's her choice ....

SO is 10 years older and we haven't heard one peep about it being a problem. It's not a problem for us so it definitely shouldn't be for others.
