Has anyone ordered these 25th anniversary dolls? I am considering it for dd's 7th birthday next month, but it will be a full year committment to buying. Just wondering if anyone has seen the first one and the shelf that holds them?

I haven't ordered yet but I am considering it. DD kind of wants mini dolls as her BFF has them but these (IMO) are a bit more special. I love the case. Do you mean it is a full year commitment to collect all the dolls? I don't think it is like Bradford Exchange where you MUST buy or return a doll sent to you. You order the ones you want - they just come out in increments. Now, I could be wrong but I have Samantha pulled up in another browser window and it says:

This special-edition mini doll is 6” tall and arrives wearing Samantha’s holiday dress. Plus, she comes with a name sticker and Samantha’s Surprise, an abridged miniature version of the book that tells her holiday story set in 1904. Only available until Dec. 31, 2011, or while supplies last.

Which makes me think you can buy her but no more or not her but any others you may want. I think these will be for DD's Christmas next year. That way I'll have the whole set in hand AND knock out a present at the same time ;)

Do you just mean that you feel like you should buy all 12?

I'm going to buy one for my niece for her birthday. Its not until April so I guess I'll wait until then to see which ones are released for March and April (since Felicity is February).

I have seen the doll and the shelf the doll is cute but I don't think I would buy the collection I personally think they would just sit on the shelf and collect dust the shelf is around 45$ and it looks ok but not great. They are not for us and I personally think they are a little pricy for the small dolls.

When I was talking about the committment I meant that I felt like I would need to buy all 12 to make it a "collection". I suppose I could try out one or 2 and not buy the shelf. I know that if I bought the shelf I would feel like I had to fill all 12 spots. :lmao:

Thanks for the replies!
