Has anyone rented a condo from the AFV plan? Any insight is appreciated. I tried to search for it, but it seems the search function may be down right now.
THANKS in Advance!
We rented through them when we went in Sept. It was a smooth process. You do have to pay taxes on the price listed on the web site. Our confirmation paper work read RCI when we got it. We rented a 3 bedroom condo at Grand Beach. It was great to have all of the space. We had 3 bedrooms with tv's, 3 baths, washer/dryer, full kitchen and a screened porch. We had a great experience and are hooked on staying off site, it's cheaper and tons more space.

Do any of the hotels, rental homes, condos, etc. offer a military discount? My husband is an honorably discharged veteran, and I know some places offer discounts to them. I'm going to have to get him to sign up!

We have used AFVC twice. Once for our 2006 trip to Disney...we stayed in a 2 bedroom at Summer Bay and it was incredible!
We will be staying at Hapimag Lake Berkley next week when we go to Disney again. That was also purchased through AFVC.
I highly recommend using AFVC. The prices are incredible and you get choices of prime condos. The availability changes daily. You just pay by CC and they send you a voucher that does say RCI, all the details and dates and when you get there you just give them your voucher and you're set
***Note...if you are going in Jan. you have to pay peak season rates which means that the condo that is normally $329.00 a week is anywhere from $600.-$800 a month for the same condo. We paid $299. for our week in Sept. in 2006 (they raised the prices to 329. in '07, and started having you pay taxes, which we didn't have to do in '06) Our townhome next week we got 3 months ago and it was 629. plus tax for the week.
