Afternoon tea???

Has anyone been to the afternoon tea? What is it? Are there any characters there? My girls are 3 and 8 would they like it?

We are going to the tea. I am bringing my mom and my 14 mth old daughter. There are no characters but I bet your daughters will like it.

do you know how much it costs? Do they have deserts or small sandwiches? Do you have to get dressed up? I know they would love to get dressed up - me ???

http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm have a look at the menu. i am not sure i am the one to advise on the dress code. i have seen everything from theme park chic to slacks and polo type shirts or blouses. i would say whatever you feel comfortable wearing. enjoy!!

I think your girls will love it. Last time my mom and I went we were next to another mother & daughter, but this princess was only about 7 yo! (Which is about my true age!) She was such a kick to see; it was obvious she felt so grown up and proud to be having a special time alone with her mom. The servers went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience for her. I think tea is a wonderful way to introduce children to the idea that meals can be enjoyed in a relaxed, elegant setting where you can take the time to interact and converse with your family or friends. And it makes a great break from the hectic pace of the parks. Have a great time!

There are two afternoon teas. One is for kids, it's Tea with Alice. Alice and Tweedle Dum/Dee are generally the characters there. You will be shooed away, and not allowed to stay in the room with them.

The other is more of a formal tea, there are no characters. There is a childrens tea on the menu. It's a quiet and refined atmosphere, and frankly I wouldn't take a three year old there. I took my seven year old neice, who is a very quiet and well behaved child for the first time yesterday. A couple of years ago we chose the Alice Tea for her, which was a better choice at that time.
