Afternoon Tea - typical time spent?

Disney finally opened up time slots for Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian (I'm way past 180+10 now, been checking everyday). Hooray!

I booked an ADR for 2 PM the day we leave. Our flight is at 8 PM, so we're catching DME at 5 from AKL. I'm sure we'll be fine taking the bus then monorail (or however) to the GF, but will probably need to take Uber heading back to AKL.

How much time do you usually spend at afternoon tea? 60-90 min sound about right? It'll be just the two of us. I'm hoping for a calm and relaxing last experience at Disney before we fly home.

This will be my first time, so any suggestions on tea selection, etc are welcome!
(Also, if you have hesitations about doing the tea at all/it not being worthwhile, please share.)

We were sat right away. Once we ordered our food, it came immediately. I think an hour is plenty of time to enjoy everything. I ordered the enchanted forest tea and it was delish. I highly recommend.

I think 90 mins would be plenty. We've been several times, I never actually checked the time in and out when we went though. I really enjoyed it every time we went. The servers are usually very nice, usually very attentive. On more than one occasion we've had them say if we didn't like the tea flavor, they'd change it to something else. I'm sure you will really enjoy it. It's a really nice way to relax at Disney.

I'd set aside an hour, but 90 minutes would be plenty. I'd also watch the monorail and consider taking the boat to GF from MK. The day we went, we debated on monorail versus boat, but it was a good thing we chose the boat because the monorail shutdown right as we lined up for the boat.
