We are arriving a day earlier then planned due to the airline changing our flight around. Anyway I was wondering if I should take DH over to GF for afternoon tea on Friday, December 5th. Any thoughts?

We love the GF tea. I would call to see if you can even get a ressie. We couldn't get in on our last trip.

Well, call and ask, but I've got a late ADR there for Saturday and have been trying for a couple months to get it earlier anytime that week, with no luck. We are a party of 3, so that might make a difference as many of the tables are for 2, so maybe a party of 2 will have better luck.

Worst they can do is say no.

we really enjoyed the tea when we went. Are you staying at the GF? The reason I am asking is because when my friend first called to get the reservations they said they were completely booked that day. In the morning, she stopped by the concierge desk at the GF. When they realized she was staying at GF, they made the reservation. And there were only 2 other tables while we were there.

My mom took my daughter as a special thing for just the two of them - they enjoyed it and DD felt really grown up. It's a nice thing to do but it's not on my must-see list...

I really enjoy doing an afternoon tea especially when on vacation. The setting at the GF is really quite lovely but in terms of food it was not the best high tea I've ever had (just ok, though the strawberries and cream were yummy). I am glad to have experienced it once at Disney though I am not sure I'd go back.:goodvibes
