I know exactly where you are coming from! I took the tour in 2001 (newly engaged) and we were seriously considering purchasing right then and there. We decided that with an upcoming marriage, house purchase and hopefully children on the horizon, we did not want to lock ourselves into that financial obligation.

Finally, in 2008, a wedding, house and two kids later, we were ready to buy. Unfortunately, it came about due to the untimely deaths of both of DH's parents. But, we were able to use a portion of the inheritance money to buy 100 points at AKV. Now, when we take the kids (and someday, hopefully grandkids) to Disney World, we can remind them to remember their grandpa and grandma, who were never fortunate enough to see it themselves.

"Welcome Home." Don't you just love the sound of that? We're in the same boat as you. DH and I have been going to WDW together since our honeymoon 16 years ago. We've never even done the tour. We have thought it would be something we could never do. However, when we saw them build BLT right within walking distance of my favorite place in the whole wide world, we just couldn't resist any longer. We are so excited about taking our first trip home in three weeks.
