After three years in a row......

After seeing the same attractions and shows three years in row...here are my reviews. Epcot........after Mission to Space and Soaring what else is there. Test track is so weak...what a waste. We only spent 3 hours at Epcot I don't think will even bother going to that park again. MGM.....Two thrill rides and a bunch of fillers, by far the best time we had. Animal Kingdom.....a very nice zoo with no thrill rides beside Dinosaur. Mount Everest is going to be opening this year, it took how long to put in a thrill ride?????Magic Kingdom....a beautiful park with a bunch of old rides. The newest attraction...Stich...give me a brake. They continue to raise prices and provide us with the Stich attraction. Overall the kids had a great time...but I think Disney needs to put out more attractions and maybe upgrade the current ones. They make alot of money... there is no excuse. How about stop making $300 a night hotels and concentrate on bringing in new attractions. Everywhere we went and ate we were being bent over by everything being overpriced. We spent two days at Universal and had a better time then the Disney parks, attractions were newer and more exciting.
I won't be going back until each Disney park has atleast 4 to 5 thrill rides and newer kiddie rides.

If you want thrill rides, go to Universal. (who also continues to raise prices and charges the same prices for food)

Walt designed and built Disneyland and WDW for the entire family to enjoy, from toddlers on Dumbo to adults and teens on Mission:Space.

Hi Max,

I am sorry that your trip didn't go better. For me WDW is not an amusement park, but a theme park, THE theme park! WDW is full of classic, magical attractions, and while I don't mind the addition of too many "thrill rides", I really hope that it stays the way it is. WDW is one of a kind to me and so many others.

Sounds like WDW is not the park for you. WDW was never designed to be a thrill ride park, and I hope it never is. You obviously don't get or appreciate all that Disney has to offer. Enjoy your next trip to US.

I cannot disagree with you more, I think Epcot is fantastic! We love the countries and the shows, love the rides and the attractions. MGM has great rides and great shows and MK is the BOMB!!

The World is not a "ride park", if you want that go to Six Flags, Cedar Point, Universal etc

If you want to experience MAGIC then go to the world.

Wow! I completely disagree. We've been to Disney for the last 3 summers in a row and we still haven't done everything. Love Epcot..so much to do there - one of my favorite parks. Love MK, can't say enought about it. I"m really tired of people calling AK a glorified zoo. It's not. If you ever get a chance watch the making of AK and you might feel differently about the park. If you're looking for only thrill rides then Disney is not for you....it's not an amusement park....it's a theme park. There are plenty of amusement parks out there with thrill rides if that's what you're looking for.

Oh I so agree with the posters who say, don't change! Walt had a dream and people have tried to stay that course. Disney requires you to be a kid again, to have an imagination, to dream. It's not all about the loops and dips and speed. I'm taking my little ones next week for the first time and I can't wait to see their faces when they walk down Main Street for the first time or see Spaceship Earth at Epcot or numerous other firsts. They aren't going to care that we don't go fast or high or upside down. I hope WDW stays on the road they are on right now.

You are right, however everyone has to agree with th OP on the constant increases of Ticket and hotel prices. Walt's dream was for families (every family) with the yearly increase soon Disney will only be affordable for the Trump and Gates families.

3 hours in EPCOT?!? It takes 2 hours just to walk around the WS! If all you want is thrill rides, then don't go to WDW. They have NEVER billed WDW as "thrill-ride central"

Honestly folks, I have alway been afraid that WDW would start to try and please people like this more than the traditionally have, and it appears as though they are doing that. It seems that recently most of the money spent on the parks have been placed almost exclusively into thrill rides, and not what seperates WDW from the Six-Flags of the World. Soarin is the first great non-thrill ride attraction we have seen in a while added to a park.

I second the motion for Cedar Point in Ohio or Islands of Adventure at Universal as being more the sort of park the OP is looking for.

I can see how WDW can get to be repetitious for some people who visit frequently. That being said, I think the key is to get creative. Look at all the people on the DIS who hit the parks just for a few days and spend the rest of their WDW time on the other activities. Or you could do a split trip with a Disney Cruise. Or just not visit as often. We've done three trips in three years and probably will not be back until the baby we're expecting is closer to school age. But we'll be totally pumped for all the new things that we'll miss between now and then!

We have been traveling down to WDW for a week, twice a year for as long as I can remember and it has never gotten old. Now that we recently moved down to South Florida, just 2 hours away from the parks, I feel pretty confident that we'll now be traveling up every couple months for 4 day weekends! You're right about getting creative with your trips. We always hit the parks, but we also go horseback riding, play a round of golf, enjoy lazy days by the pool, hit the great resort restaurants, etc. Sure, Disney has a few coasters, but there is so much more to do than just thrill rides, and agree with most in hoping that Disney continues to build the parks just as they always have.

While it would be great if the prices for these never increased, that just isn't going to happen. I know that my costs keep going up (electric, heat, groceries, etc) and if I were a business, I would raise my prices to go along with the price increases.

Prices are increasing across the board at all vacation spots, not just Disney; beaches, other amusement parks, movie theaters, skiing, etc.
