Our first trip to DLP is fast approaching. You guys have given some great advice - THANKS! One more question. The calender shows the parks will close at 1900 the ONE day we are there. Any suggestions of what to do after? Any thoughts on the Buffalo Bill Show? We have always enjoyed the Hoop Dee Do Review at WDW - is this kindof the same thing? I assume it is all in French (language)? Thanks again!!:goodvibes

I was at DLP recently, and went to the Buffalo Bill show. The parks closed at 6pm that day, and the Buffalo Bill show was at 6:30. (With another one later in the evening).

I enjoyed it a lot. The price was a bit steep (59 euros, but I got a 10 euro discount by having an annual pass. Plus, the cost includes tax and tip).

I would compare it more to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede rather than Hoop-de-doo. It was a big arena with a lot of animals (horses, buffalo, steer, etc). The first part was mostly show. The second part was mostly contest between the different performers, with each section of the audience cheering for one team or another. Food was pretty good and plentiful, and included drinks.

Also, I'd say it's a mix of English/French. Sometimes one performer will speak in English, another will respond in French. It's easy to follow. Overall, I'd say more English than French.

Hi!
I haven't been to WDW so can't compare it.
But we all enjoyed it very much. None of us had any trouble following the dialogue as plenty, if not most, of it was in English.

Thanks - that really helps!! I will see if there is still availability. 7:00 PM seems so early for the parks to close - do times ever change? ANy other suggestions for after closing? Have a nice Easter weekend:flower3:

The parks hours vary according to the months, during the holidays like Easter, Summer the main park opens till 10pm. The studios always closes earlier.

There is plenty to do after the parks shut, the shops in the village, bars/restaurants. There is also a cinema in the village or you could walk around the other hotels and have a look or take a walk around the lake.

One other thing I'll mention if you go to Buffalo Bill....

The audience sections were Texas, Wyoming, Montana, and 1 other (I forget what). Since you're from Texas, it might be fun to try to sit and cheer in the Texas section!
