After the Initial Code Rush

After the initial new code rush in Mid August, was anyone who was not able to secure a code able to get one at a later date?

We are going staying at the Beach Club 10/18 - 10/24 and my TA has not been able to get a discount with the codes.

I was hoping as a little time went by something would open up...but not yet.

My brother is still trying for October too, seems like it is going to be crowded! He wants either POFQ or the Polynesian and cannot get either.

No luck here either. We're going to BWI 10/20 - 10/25 and so far its rack rate for us

I think you can still get the discount, but you have to be flexible with which resort. I think they only offer the discount to a certain number of rooms at certain resorts.

I still try daily for the Poly, with no luck. I'm hoping that after the 45-day prior deadline, some will be cancelling and maybe something will open up for us? Hoping, but not expecting it.

I had booked POFQ before the codes came out, switched to POR when the codes came out to save $250 and just rebooked at POFQ today at the same price as POR

When I called initially, they said there wasn't availability for POFQ, but apparently there is now.

I'm happy 'cause I saved $$ and got the hotel I wanted

I'm having the worst luck. I have AAA rate for my Thanksgiving trip, but no luck with anything better!

But, I keep on trying~!

We are booked at GF with AAA rate for 10/19-25. Since 7am when codes were announced, nothing has been available at any monorail resort with Fall promo codes or even AP rates. I just called again yesterday. There is availability at value resorts.

Just keep calling and if your dates and resorts are flexible, then something will come up.

I have been calling since August 14 and nothing has opened up for us as yet. We are not flexible with resorts and would like to secure some type of discount code before long. I keep hoping.

What are your dates? I've been trying to get a discount for POFQ from Dec 6-13th with no luck.

My fingers and toes are also crossed. Looks like the deluxe resorts were very slim pickings.

Unfortunately we cannot change our dates because we have purchased our airline tickets and we just love the Beach Club...although we would have switched to the Yacht Club....

I do take comfort in thinking that perhaps we would have saved around $300, and there are three of us going on this trip, so each person would have only saved around $100 a piece....

It's easier for me to accept it thinking that way!!

Not us - paying rack rate at AKL and AAA discount at CR. We were willing to switch resorts but still no discounts.

I can't imagine that WDW will need to discount rooms at the BW or BC/YC during October - they are booked pretty full with the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. You'd probably only find something for your dates by considering another resort.

I've been checking every morning for a deluxe since earlier last week and AKL and GF both briefly showed up yesterday morning online as available under the code. As soon as I saw it I called but AKL was already gone however, we were able to grab GF Garden View for Oct 21-27!! The availability came and went quick!

Between Garnter in mid October, and Epcot's food and wine festival, BC/YC chances are slim to none...

I understand codes come out every quarter or so for timeframes for AP holders, Florida residents, AAA, military and so forth. I am an AP holder; first year and I am a bit unfamiliar with all this talk of codes. Not sure how much can be shared to stay within posting guidelines so any guidance would be appreciated.

one way... go to the disney offical site, go to reservations, go to special offers- click on the offer you want and go through making a ressie, if a resort isn't available, you wont get it as a choice.

or call Disney and ask for the "fall offer" and see if they have anything.

Last week I was trying to the offer for POP or ASMovies for Thanksgiving week, nope. There was no value available. Then days later, the only value was sports. You could however get POP at rack rate. I finally got to book ASSports at the discount. I kept trying online everyday to see what was available, I really wanted ASMovies. Then to my surprise, I saw it available online and called and changed my ressie to ASmovies

so yes, keep trying!!
