Hi everyone!
Yet again I am need of all your help...

So this has been a little bit of a stressful situation for me. Quickly my parents are divorced (which explains the lack of communication that has me stressed out at the moment)...

My dad was supposed to pay the deposit, and sent me an email telling me he did. He had problems faxing it to Disney and after emailing our wonderful coordinator she told me to chill and have him try again. He then sent me an email stating that he tried again on Friday and the transmission had been received, so he believes that means he has taken care of it. (Then his email goes on to tell me about how his whole family thinks this is a BAD idea, but that is a whole other post full of stress!). However, my mom believes he DIDN'T pay the deposit. I tend to believe my mother more. She is one of my best friends and my father and I have a very rocky relationship. However I can't get ahold of my mother to figure out why she believes he did not pay the deposit...

I also didn't mention I am trying to get this taken care of from Tasmania, Australia, so I am at a huge disadvantage because I have a major lack of communication ability...

So my question(s) is(are). Did you hear back from someone at Disney after they got your deposit? Should I be freaking out? Was the contract the next point of contact you had? Am I just dumb and oblivious to all of this??

My next step is to email our coordinator, but I didn't want to overwhelm her by just being dumb.

PLEASE help me!! Thank you...

Sounds just like my Family except my Father Hasnt offered to help me he paid for his 2 step daughters wedding in full but with me its another story.

]Where in Tasmania Australia are you Im in Tassie as well and im planning my DFTW for November 2011!

To be honest I'd just email your coordinator and ask for confirmation when they receive it.

I'm pretty sure I got confirmation from my coordinator, then I didn't hear anything for a while until I heard from my planner, and then I received the completed contract in the mail.

Yay for Australian brides!

My coordinator's assistant called within a few hours to say that they had received my fax and would process the payment; however, I am much closer than you so it could be easier for them to call me...good luck with all

For your own peace of mind, I say email your coordinator. Don't worry about how it is perceived. You are clearly under a lot of stress and will rest easier once you get a response that the deposit has been made or you can take action if you find out if it hasn't. It's better to know one way or the other, and the fastest way to know is to send that email.

Good luck!

i agree. a short email asking for confirmation is all yo need - no other explanation necessary! i know, in my perception, EVERYTHING took waayyyyy onger than i wanted it to/thought it should once i FINLLY made a deposit:rotfl2:!!

good luck - sorry about your parents and the family issues. hopeffully dad came through and mom can keep her feedback about dads relaiability to an informed minimum - and offer a solution when necessary!

Thank you all! I sent her an email a little while ago, so hopefully I will hear good news in the morning... (crossed fingers) I am hoping I just psyched myself out. It always just helps I guess getting it out of my system... thank you all for listening.

mareeld86: We shall talk. I will read your PJ. Just not tonight.... it is not that late, but I have to get up early, and I know that once I get started here on the board it is so hard to kick me off.... Soon... hopefully tomorrow you will hear more from me!

The only way I knew they received the deposit was because they cashed the check, and it actually took them a few weeks to do so. Since in your case this would not help, I think it was deff. a good idea to email your coordinator. Hope everything works out ok.
