Ok, so your first question is probably why on earth would you swear off this place where people from all over the world who love Disney can come together and not be mocked for it? Well, 2 years ago on our Dis trip we had a weird experience (I'll explain in a minute) and when I posted on the boards things got a little nasty.
Here goes...please don't get nasty again...While we were in EPCOT for YOAMD we were approached by a dream team member. She seemed to take a liking to DD (who was 4 at the time) and ended up hanging around with us for a while. DH was diving in Living Seas and DD, MIL and I were with the CM. While we were with her we got on an escalator. DD was just standing there holding my hand-not goofing around-and the escalator ate her brand new $30 sneaker! It's amazing she didn't get hurt. The CM was very nice but we were only offered a pair of disney crocs, (which my DD hates). The CM gave us a voucher but we couldn't find reasonable replacement sneakers in EPCOT, where we had to use the voucher. I went to guest relations before leaving EPCOT and asked for a voucher, for the same amount, to use for something else in a store so that at least my DD could get something she wanted, i.e. a stuffed minnie. They would not help us. The next day at WL I spoke to the front desk, I was pretty ticked. They told us we could get the biggest minnie, since there were not suitable shoes, out of the gift shop and they would take care of it. So, basically, when I got home and posted all this people wrote some very mean things to me...I was ungrateful, should've taken the crocs and had no right to look for anything else.
I had a few people pm me that they thought I didn't do anything wrong
but other than that a whole lotta nasty got thrown around.
I was so put off I didn't get back on the disboards till this past month...Now I'm ready to hopefully be received and give my PTR for our upcoming trip in August.

And the crowds were insane. We planned a trip with just DH and I in April to Vegas. Our 10th ann is this year and since I'm a teacher we figured we better take advantage of any time away we could get. Then, I got an e-mail...
Wonder what the price of that trip would look like???
I started to get the itch...you know the one I mean...when you hadn't noticed anything Disney for a while and then all of a sudden everything becomes about the mouse. You notice those 4/3 commercials more, you notice DD or DS wearing a shirt from the last trip, you find yourself wandering through the pics of any previous trip to WDW...The itch that needs to be scratched and the trip that needs to be planned. But what to do, DH thought I was insane considering Vegas and Disney. 
He even offered to cancel Vegas if I really needed Disney that badly. However, my head wouldn't allow me to do that, and frankly, I'm almost as excited about Vegas...almost.
Now I was on a mission!!!
I started running #s again. If we stayed at a value it would be pretty inexpensive...DH doesn't like values..."What's the price difference?" he asked...about $300. "I'd rather stay at POR." And before I knew it we were booked!!! We even convinced DM and DD to come with us. Normally bringing parents on a vacation is not that exciting but I haven't been to WDW and NOT BEEN PREGNANT since my honeymoon!!!!
However, it has not spread and they are going to treat it. Since they are planning on joining us we were ready to cancel immediately, obviously some priorities take precedence over Dis.
Mom and Dad have given me full control over ADRs and activities
