after seeing Fantasmic once, do you now skip it?

We saw it once and were not that impressed. Certainly would not plan on seeing especailly with the wait situation. If we do we do. Would rather jump to EPCOT fro Illumionations than spend the time on Fantasmic. Just didn't do it for us.

That is my families absoulute favorite show. We see it at least twice each trip. Now Illuminations is the one that we always skip. It just doesn't do it for us. To each his own I guess.

We saw it once (March '04), doing as recommended and staking out a seat about 90 minutes in advance. Fantasmic was good, definitely something to see, but we did skip it when we went back in Nov. '04. It just didn't seem worth the wait. We will probably consider doing it again on our next visit. Having been to WDW multiple times our family now just doesn't see the sense on waiting very long for anything.

I'd like to hear about the Dinner Package and FAntasmic - last summer we were given a PS to Fantasmic (due to a glitch, it was nice pixie dust to get the card) w/o the dinner pkg. Now we're planning to go w/ my parents in Oct, so i'm wondering if I should include the dinner pkg to lesson their line wait time?

It depends who I'm travelling with. My DM loves the show and won't miss it, my SO says he saw it once and that was enough. I enjoyed the show, but three times is plenty for me.

That is the truth! I love IllumiNations! and would see it every chance I could, Fantasmic! on the other hand is something I would do every third trip or so. You can have my seat at Fantasmic! and I'll watch IllumiNations! for you, how does that sound?

We saw it in 2000, skipped it in 2001 and 2002, saw it in 2003. We're going back in December with DS and my mom so we'll watch it again. It's not a "must see" for us.

We saw it in 02 and we will be skipping it this year. It's a great show, but I don't know that it would hold the same awe as the first time

It's our favorite show. We can skip Spectro and Illuminations, but we have to see Fantasmic!

We see it every year - the kids love it. We do the Fantasmic Dinner Package so we don't have to spend hours holding seats.

This is us too. We never miss it, and we always do the dinner package. Heck, I figure we have to eat, so why not just do the package.

My girls loved it... get the fantasmic dinner package and don't have to be there so early. People with that package were arriving only 20 min ahead of time and the view on the side was fine.

I guess a lot of what I'm reading has to do with what time of year you are visiting. We finally saw Fantasmic during our last trip, which was during January. We arrived just about 15 minutes before showtime. Our seats were over to the side and about a quarter of the way up. It might not have been prime seating, but we enjoyed the show nonetheless. And we didn't waste 1 1/2 hours holding a seat. But maybe you have to do that during busier seasons.

We enjoyed the show and will do it again, but not necessarily on every trip. That seems like a great time to hit TOT and RNR.

No oneo in my family cares about seeing it again. BIG waste of time, which is precious at WDW. Not that great a show, on our opinion, too. We NEVER miss Wishes and try to see Illuminations if we can. Both are MUCh better than Fantasmic, but just in our opinion!!

Fantasmic! is my favorite night show. I make sure to catch it at least once every trip.

The last two times we saw it were with families that had never seen it before. This next trip we will probably go twice, again with two different families that have never been to WDW. When it's just us, we usually skip it, but we do enjoy it when we see it!

I am debating this right now...The 1st and only time we saw it was on new year's eve. We got our seats 3 hours before the show started. 3 hours of sitting on cold, hard benches and it was freezing cold outside too. After waiting all that time the show was really a disappointment. I really love fireworks and I don't really remember there being all that many in Fantasmic. We are not really "show" people. We much prefer rides over any shows/movies. I would like to see it one more time, but DH doesn't at all. I am having a hard time convincing him, plus we are going at easter which is another busy time so another long wait. I can't decide what to do.

I'm thinking this next time I'm going to skip it since I've seen it twice in the past 2 years. I think I'm going to use that time to ride TOT and RnR as well as getting my shopping done before the crowds get moving out of the park. Luckily I'll be staying on site so I can get to the buses first.
