After hours tickets from DVC with discount - "will call"?? How do I link to My Disney Experience??

hi there - I just called member services today to purchase after hours tickets for HS on Jan 4th for my family (5 of us). We do have resort reservations and when discussing with the cast member, i understood that in the email, we'd get a confirmation number that we'd be able to link to our my disney experience accounts. However, when i received the email confirmation it is indicating "will call" and that i need to pick up my tickets where they are sold?? I hope this is not the case as we are out of state and won't be there until Dec. 31st. Has anyone dealt with this before and successfully linked after hours tickets and assigned them to family members when there is a 'will call' on the confirmation email? thanks in advance.
 
Be aware that Disney After hours is new, the first nights for it will be in Jan 2023, and this is the first time in Disney's history where it has created a specific park entry fee and ticket for being able to use the park after hours for rides and attractions. In other words, there cannot possibly be anyone who "has dealt with this before."

It has had "will calls" before, such as for tickets ordered for events like Cirque du Soleil. That means your tickets and ability to enter are confirmed but you pick-up the tickets when you arrive at the place for entry into the event. Thus, what may be happening is that on the day or evening of the event, you show up at Studios and go to a ticket window and pick-up your tickets.

Nevertheless, you should probably call member services or Disney's number for purchasing tickets and determine that your entry is confirmed and should pick up tickets when you arrive at the park for the event, or whether, instead, you are going to get tickets and a number to put in your MDE account before going (a possibility since Disney, as is usual when it creates something new, has probably not yet put all the pieces together to actually issues the tickets you need.

You may be able to get them at your onsite resort via concierge. Assume they want to verify your DVC card/ID.
 
I bought mine online, and it automatically showed up in MDE for me.
You may need to pickup up a wristband (maybe??) at the entrance.

My email says that I can just show my MagicMobile pass at the park entrance, and if I didn’t have that I would have to go to a ticket window with email, original payment (CC, GC, PayPal, etc), and ID.
