After-hours: How will "clearing" out the riff raff work, particularly if you're in line?

Do you think guests without the special wrist bands will get to meet any characters that may be there?

Not if they're exclusive to the event.

Character meets are like riding attractions: you'll have to be in line before regular park closing. After closing, no one without an event wrist band will be allowed into any lines. Won't matter if the characters are exclusive to the event or not. the Princess & Mickey Mouse meets are listed as included in the DAH.

Realistically, what can they do any different. If someone gets into line at 1 minute before the park closes, their policy has always been to let them ride. If they start closing lines early, then I think they would have a mutiny from the regular guests.

Oh, i'm sure they would have a huge problem...but, it's Disney's problem to solve, not mine. All I can picture is the last minute guests in line at the headliner attractions, therefore increasing the waits for the people who paid $150 each for the "Perk". That equals a complete waste. We're only dealing with 3 hours here - 3 hours can fly by if you are standing in line after line. It's an easier pill to swallow on party nights since attractions (rides) aren't really the main draw, but in this case, if I were paying for this type of event, it would have to feel extra special. I'd consider paying for it too - but I'd certainly wait to hear/read reviews from people who did it first.

Just learned that if you buy this ticket, you can check into the Magic Kingdom at 7:00PM. So, depending on park closings (10PM on 4/28 and 5/5 and 11PM on 4/14, 4/21, 5/8, 5/12, and 5/19), you can be in the park for a total of 6 hours or 7 hours.

This is a great option for 3rd shifters wanting to enjoy the park on their first day; I believe the price should be comparable to a regular 12-hour day park ticket, but they're supplying ice cream and sodas (so, there's where the extra $25 comes from).

This would make perfect sense if you're going for a day or two - but one of the big advantages of going for multiple days is how much cheaper the tickets get over a 5+ day span. This wouldn't really work into that calculus.

I would be upset if i paid 150 a piece to have regulars mulling around main street or the hub or still in line for rides, or at QS when i want to grab something. IMO for 150 a piece they better clear everyone out completely. We know how to avoidthe long ride lines for the most part, but the masses on the walkways you cant.

almost impossible to do. They will keep the shops and Starbucks and Casey's opened for everyone. They won't allow non ticket holders to go on the rides but other than that they will be allowed to walk around.

:cool2:Clear' em all out so the 1 %er like me can have at it....

The thing though is that if the characters are exclusive to the event, they won't even be out before the even starts. At the parties, the Dwarfs are exclusive and while people do line up well before the party starts, the Dwarfs don't come out until 7. I think Jack Skellington might start meeting before 7, but since he's exclusive to the party, you can't get in line without a wrist band.

Travel Agents have ben told they WILL clear the Park, estimating it to take the frist hour to do so.

It's funny seeing comments here decrying the 1%. If you are using a computer and posting on a message board about your multiple trips to Walt Disney World, you are one of those 1%ers. Don't be sheep and pick up garbage like that from those who would like to lie to you to get you to do their dirty work.

Lol, you either have no idea what being on the 1% entails or you're grossly overestimating the cost of multiple disney vacations and the price of a computer

Charge 40 bucks for the privilege :]

An enterprising person will buy the ticket, strategically station himself to intercept the crowd leaving and offer to get them a Mickey Bar, which he could get for free, for the discounted cost of $2 (aren't they like $4.50 a pop). Do that for 75 departing guests in the first hour and you've paid for your night and still have 2 hours to tour.

It's naive to think that you are not in the top 1% of the world when you can go to WDW multiple times.

A) I don't think most Americans use the entire world as their point of reference. Generally it's other Americans.

Not that it matters because:

B) Read some of the threads discussing middle class versus rich on the Community Board. Apparently everyone is middle class these days.
