I never posted about this after my trip - work started hammering me as soon as I got back, so apologies for the delay. I did Epcot AH on 8/21, and IT. WAS. GLORIOUS. This was my first Epcot AH. I have done MK 3x and DHS 1x. I was solo, and I am an avid runner/spinner and walk fast, so keep that in mind.
I went to my res at
Geo-82 for 8:15. I was seated right away in the middle of the bar, had a flatbread and a cocktail. I was able to watch the fireworks show from my seat with a great view - for anyone without littles, I highly recommend this. The food was OK (there's better in Epcot, IMO), but the cocktail was fantastic, and just having a calm, cool place to sit was wonderful.
Afterwards, the party started - there was dance music piped into the park, and it was just fantastic. I did Frozen, booked it over to Remy, ate some maple popcorn, did a magic shot, and rode Guardians 4x. TT was open in there somewhere, I think, but I had ridden it as a single rider that morning and wasn't bothered to go back. I was unconscious on my feet after my red-eye flight the day before, so even though I had time to ride Guardians again (about 12:20 at this point?), I decided to head out. On the way, I went back to the Encanto stage area (Goofy had been there earlier, groovin' with a bunch of ecstatic little kids) - this time, all the littles were gone - it was just Goofy dancing with CMs. I marched over and said, "Well, we can't have THIS!" All of the CMs cheered

, and Goofy and I danced it out for a good 10 min before I had to leave to go sleep. There was one other woman around my age who tapped in as I was tapping out, it was awesome. (Being over 50 is a little magical sometimes - there's like a switch that goes off one day, and your self consciousness just disappears - you just don't care what anyone thinks any more!)
This was my very favoroite AH event, ever. I cannot wait to do it again - I will always do MK, but I just loved this.
