After Hours DVC Typhoon Lagoon event

We have June reservations at OKW. My wife received a phone call inviting us to a free after hours DVC event at Typhoon Lagoon. The event offers free non alcoholic drinks, entertainment, and some other minor offerings. We are quite excited to attend as we have a group of 6 coming down to celebrate my son's 21st birthday.

My question is has anyone else heard about this, or attended an event like it? Wondering what we can expect?

Yes, they have had similar events at TL the past 2 years. Last year, they added some Theme Park events at other times of the year.

We did the TL event 2 years ago, and loved it.
Free admission, low crowds (compared to summer water park attendance) a DJ playing music, the wave pool running regular large waves, free snacks (but sounds like no free Mickey bars this year).
The only possible negatives are weather (if it rains) and if you aren't a night owl and get tired early.

2 years ago, they didn't have Crushin Gusher running. I am curious if they will run the new Miss Adventure falls.

We are registered for a July event this year and are excited!

If you are assuming no Mickey ice cream bars because they didn't have them at the MK events, that would be an incorrect assumption. I believe the lack of ice cream during the MK events was due to time of year (Feb/Mar). The DAK events last year (September) did have free Mickey bars.

We were at the MK event and enjoyed the "real" food offerings more than the free ice cream. We will be able to go to the one at Typhoon Lagoon too (so excited), and we will be happy with either.

I have a bad feeling that's computer-speak for "SOLD OUT." I'll keep trying, but not optimistic
