After Fireworks Dessert Party

I've never understood the appeal of these dessert parties except for those where money is no object. $69/pp for a 15 minute fireworks show and some dessert is beyond expensive!!

It sure was fun though....all those desserts, the view and not having to worry about a good spot. Plus when it was over the CM's lined up and clapped for you on the way out. Was funny....

We did the desert party last year and loved it. We were told we could go back after the fireworks for more deserts and coffee if we wanted to. Guess that won't happen once the after fireworks parties start.

I love the Frozen dessert party in Epcot. The desserts are delicious and plentiful, lots of hot and cold drinks too, you get a table to sit on and the view is incredible. The frozen ride after is a huge bonus. Its a 1-2 hour event really as you check in and start eating about a hour before fireworks start. Well worth the money and wheelchair/stroller friendly. No crowds either. My son also enjoys it so much! Each to their own but that particular one is well worth the money.

We go to Disney on a budget always and dessert parties are part of that budget. We love them.

What time does checkin begin?

While we all love desserts, none of us could eat more than one small dessert. Certainly could not eat unlimited desserts for an hour or so!

Fireworks are at 9 and my first visit when I passed the rope area to ask when it would be best to check in I was advised to check in at 8 as otherwise DS may get bored. So I cant say I know for sure if they seat much earlier than that as I always stuck to their advice more or less! I think the second time we went we were a bit earlier than 8 (7.40pm according to my photo times in my phone) and we were seated straight away. I will try have a look online for a concrete answer and DM you if I find it.

Thank u, I appreciate the speedy reply. I’m tentatively planning our day at Epcot. My daughter will b turning 5 on our trip and I can’t see her patiently waiting 2 hrs for Illuminations. I think your recommendation of arriving @ 8 will work great for my family, thank u again!

I got a great rate. I don't stay onsite without discounts. That's why we can splurge on extras.

I need to do more research to find such deals but I tend to think even the best discount on a deluxe is still two to three times or more than the cost of a value. We did get a great deal on a moderate last trip that was only $10/nt more than a value for a 10 night stay. But Disney ended that deal last year.

So if I understand this right, the after fireworks party is only on certain nights. Is that correct? I booked the dessert party today and called to make sure I had booked the right thing after seeing this post. According to WDW dining, only one party setting was showing for 12/01/18. Does that sound right? I called to double check because we have a BOG reservation for 6:25 pm. I thought if a later party was occurring, it might be better.
