After 7 Trips We're Finally Staying At the BC! May 2012 PTR: New TR Started!

Hope you're feeling better! It's no fun being sick, but you're right... at least you got sick now and not in 2 weeks!

I’m on the crazy train and I want off!!! I don’t think I can cram anymore stuff into the last days before our trip! Between church, school, Disney stuff, this cold, Cub Scout stuff, and anything else that’s going to pop up between now and our departure date I know I must look like a chicken running around with its head cut off. Insanity! I just keep telling myself that Disney is waiting for me at the end of all this craziness. :thumbsup2 Can I get an AMEN?

The musical was so good! So proud of all the children! They worked so hard. We had 120 children participate this year. I have no idea how the wonderful lady that puts all this together does it. Here’s a couple pics:

And right in the middle of the musical weekend, we got this:

MICKEY MAIL!!!! :yay::yay::yay:So exciting! Makes it seem more official now.

Disney Night # 15 - T-Rex/Lego Night

This one was Alex’s pick. Our first night at Disney we usually go to dinner at T-Rex and we hit the Lego store while we’re in DTD. So when Alex asked to do a Lego night I thought “Legos…T-Rex…T-Rex has dino shaped chicken nuggets…Hey! T-Rex has those great Meteor Bites! I need to make me some of those!” That’s all it took to convince me!

So without further ado, here’s our T-Rex/Lego night:

Disney Night # 16 - Princess Jasmine Night

This is Lauren’s last night. Where did the time go? How can this be? We only have two more Disney nights left! This was originally supposed to be this past Saturday. The day of the Musical rehearsal (two run-throughs) and the day my cold really started knocking me on my rear. So I made the decision to cancel it and push it back to Tuesday night. Then Tuesday came along and I couldn’t go 2 minutes without coughing. Not a good thing when you’re the one preparing dinner. So I then pushed it back to tonight. Which means our next Disney night is in two nights. Why not! It fits right in with all the other craziness! Here’s what Jasmine night looked like:

I hope you're feeling better soon!! Gotta get it gone before WDW! Excited to read your updates!!

Thanks! Finally feeling better and finally got some updates up!

DD9 has decided that we are going to have a Disney dinner that she is going to plan before we go. We'll see how that goes.

I think the Big Orange Caravan is here next week. We haven't decided if we are going yet or not. We need to decide soon, though.

We are hoping for a better year this year. We are planning on coming up for the first two home games...one with the kids and one without. It will be weird going to the Florida game since it has been our tradition to be heading to WDW that weekend and we aren't this year.

I hope you are feeling better!

Thanks! In all the years I've lived here and went to UT I never saw UT play Florida at the stadium. We didn't even go to a game last year but that won't happen again this year. :thumbsup2

Hope you're feeling better! It's no fun being sick, but you're right... at least you got sick now and not in 2 weeks!

Thanks! I'm really glad this is happening before Disney!

Wowsers Woman!!! Good thing Disney the final destination of the crazy train ;)

Very Cool!!

MICKEY MAIL!!!! :yay::yay::yay:So exciting! Makes it seem more official now.

I'm so jealous of your Mickey Mail!!!:( Still waiting for ours! It goes to our TA first and she just gets back from a cruise (or something like that ;) ) today I believe and then they'll be sent out. So we'll be under two weeks before we get ours. But I love the pictures of yours :lovestruc

Thanks again for your Disney Nights. . .and the inspiration for ours ;)

LOVE the Disney nights!! I really love the Monkey Masks!!

You are getting SOOOOOO close!! YAY!

Holy smokes....120 kids in one performance. The director had to be a miracle woman!

I can totally relate to the "where did the time go?" feeling. Our trips are just around the river bend and there's still stuff that has to be done in addition to everyday life things. :faint: At least you're feeling better so that's a big plus. :thumbsup2

I am always in awe of your movie nights. You come up with some great ideas for the themes and food.

AMEN!

And I feel your pain. I cannot wait for this crazy month to be over... this month alone we have 4 birthday parties, 5 field trips, my oldest DD "graduates" from 5th grade, volleyball practice/games, volleyball camp. We just finished up Teacher Appreciation Week, and (thankfully) have just one more week of school left. Sadly, I do not have a Disney trip waiting for me, though! October can't get here fast enough!

Ours came from our TA too. I wasn't expecting it to arrive so when I got home and Mike showed me the mail I was so excited! I should have another Disney night up by the end of the weekend. :thumbsup2

LOVE the Disney nights!! I really love the Monkey Masks!!

You are getting SOOOOOO close!! YAY!

Thanks! The masks inspired Lauren to go around acting and sounding like a monkey. Fun times!

The prep to get the kids ready for the performance (rehearsing the music was a joint effort between us three directors (one of them being the lady in charge). Our leader sits in front of the stage helping the soloists and drama cast. I've had the job of directing the children in the loft for the last four years. I always feel honored that she asks me to do this. It's fun trying to get 120 children to sing at the same time. Another teacher stood next to me and did motions. Most songs the kids sing and do motions so I help them remember the words and the other person helps them remember the motions. Then there are many, many teachers helping with crowd control, costuming, drama, entrances and exits, etc. It takes a village to put this thing on. But it's so rewarding to see the end product and the kids worshipping!

Thank you! I still can't believe we've done 16 Disney nights so far!

AMEN!

I don't know what I was thinking when I originally posted day 5...But it is TOTALLY WRONG! I looked at what I typed and I went "WHAT?!" :scared1: Really. It's bad y'all. Let me show you what I did.

Day 3 - May 26th
Parks - AK and Epcot
Dining - Flame Tree Barbecue and Teppan Edo

Sounds good, right?

Now here's what I put for Day 5 - May 28th
Parks - AK and Epcot
Dining - Flame Tree Barbecue and San Angel Inn

One problem...We only go to AK once during our trip (Day 3). Which means that Day 5 is just a figment of my imagination. :lmao: Why does my brain refuse to work properly sometimes?

Okay so here's the REAL day 5

We'll wake up and go to DHS!! Yay! And of course we'll have to ride ToT (my favorite which makes the fact the I forgot that we were going to this park on this day even more unbelievable!). Mike and Mom want to ride Rockin' and I'm sure we'll be getting fastpasses for Toy Story. We'll have a great time at DHS (not AK) and have a yummy lunch at Pizza Planet (not Flame Tree Barbecue).

Everything else that I have said for this day is correct. We WILL go to Epcot and we WILL eat at San Angel Inn.

I think I need help y'all. Can I blame it on my blonde hair? :rotfl:

I know how you feel....This week alone is going to be the craziest for me. But soon, it will be over, and we'll be at Disney! :)

:welcome: I still cant believe that we're actually staying at the B! I never thought it would happen.

Y'all, I have a heavy heart tonight. This morning I got a call that a lady that I'm in choir with and her husband died in a car crash last night. Just the sweetest couple. Always smiling and hugging and loving on others. Our whole choir is in complete shock. Choir rehearsal was pretty tough tonight. We're waiting to hear about arrangements cause I'm pretty sure the choir and orchestra will be singing/playing at the service.

I also last night found out that a friend of mine has breast cancer and will have surgery and begin radiation in the next couple of weeks. She has a daughter in elementary school and a son in college.

If you could, please say a prayer for these two families. They could really use them.
