.... at least IMO.
1) After having been to WDW several times I was disappointed in DL/DCA so I doubt very seriously I'd ever use pts to stay at any DL resort, including a DVC resort.
2) While I love going to WDW, I also love the entire resort atmosphere of International Dr, Kissimee, etc. When we stay at our DVC locations we spend many of our days outside WDW property. We have a car and travel is easy. At DL, forget exploring. We drove to Laguna beach-35 miles- took 90 minutes. On a Thursday evening, after 7:00 pm, we drove to Huntington beach,15-20 miles, took an hour.We drove to Universal in Hollywood, after morning rush hour,on a 5 lane hiway,35 miles,75 minutes. We had a convertible the entire trip and were too disgusted to use it.
3) Land wise, not a lot of options. We stayed at the DLH. Getting into DL wasn't too bad. But to get into DCA is a hike. A DVC resort would almost certainly need it's own shuttle service.
People on the west coast may think a DVC resort would be great and I'm sure some people love DL over WDW, but I don't ever see myself heading to DL.
