Afraid to plan

Hello, all.
I am afraid to try to plan a trip to Disneyland.The last one I tried to plan(surprise birthday trip for my triplets in April), ended up with me having to cancel and I will be crushed if I start planning a trip for my birthday (Nov 2) and have to cancel again.
Does anyone have any information on any specials that will be run the first week of November?

It's not a Disney-owned hotel, but Stovall's ( http://stovallsinn.com/ ) is running a special where if you stay there on your birthday, the hotel room is free, as long as you're staying 2 additional nights. Also, if you're an AAA member, there are some great deals on hotel rooms if you book through their website.

Well you could always put that money away and keep watching for deals until closer to the time your ready to go . there is always some wonderful deals that come out around September / October any ways.
