I am taking my 1 and 3 year old the week after Easter. The only fireworks they have been exposed to are 4th of July- very loud- very close to us- at a friends house.
Neither are fans....they don't like the noise, but like to see them.
Where is the best place to stand for Wishes?
Also dont want to miss the nighttime parade that is before it....so not sure what to do....

Thanks!

I'd go to the beach at the Poly and watch from there. One of our grands is not a fan and he can stand that. Perhaps it might help to acclimate them to wanting to be closer?

Poly beach is great. Another option is to watch from the top level of the ferry to /from the TTC. When mine were little and didn't like to be close to the fireworks, that was our favorite spot. The pilots would always let us ride back and forth while waiting for and watching the fireworks.

They may be too young, but I let my kids wear their over the ear head phones. It cancels out just enough noise.

Of course my personal favorite way to see the fireworks is the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage. Hardly any firework noise but they pipe in the music so you have an awesome view and great sound level. Been brining the kids since the youngest was 1 year old.

So the real MK fireworks are set off about a mile behind the castle, but the castle does have some minor ones that come off of it. They are loud, but not bone jarring like some 4th of July ones.

If you stay towards the gates, you can watch the parade and then hop on a boat to Poly to watch from the beach.

Maybe you can buy them ear plugs, if you want to see the parade beforehand I would stand near the entrance right next to the fire station on main street to the left the parade comes right out the doors, then like other said you can either stay there, go to Poly and watch them I also stayed at the contemporary this year watched them from the beach it"s very quiet and relaxing

DD#1 was PETRIFIED of fireworks. (We found this out when she was 2 and watching the fireworks at WDW...not that much fun with a sobbing toddler on your shoulder - and of course, once they start there is no where to go.)

The next time we brought ear muffs - the kind you use when going to the shooting range. It was AWESOME. She couldn't hear a thing. We saw Fantasmic too (which is also loud), and she enjoyed that too.

This sounds like a good idea. Since the OP asked about the Main Street Electrical Parade, I would watch it from the train station end of Main Street so I could get out of the park and to the ferry more quickly.

My nearly 11 year old son HATES fireworks. He has since he was two. He likes the fireworks, not the noise. He wears over the ear headphones (the kind you wear to car races) on the 4th of July. Disney is the ONLY place he can take them. They do not seem as loud at any of the parks. Maybe it's the Disney magic, but fortunately, it's always gone well. Our kids have been there at your children's ages, too, and were fine. I would pick up some headphones, though.

I know you can see them from the Contemporary, too. But, you want to catch the parade. We were in Tomorrowland during the fireworks last summer and could barely hear them. Then you could catch the parade before or after, depending on when they go off. (In busy times, they'll run the parade twice a night.)

Enjoy!

My youngest was afraid of fireworks too. Be warned, there is a set of fireworks with the castle stage show. It isn't much, but they can be heard, especially if you are close to the castle.
