Has anyone used Aflac insurance? I'm thinking about getting my ds to get it. He works as a mechanic and if he doesn't get paid if he doesn't work and he now had his first truck to pay for. I looked on website and I can't get any idea of pricing unless I talk to a agent. I'd like to have a idea of prices before we talk to anyone.

We've had it for years. But, sorry, I don't know about the prices; we were offered it through my husband's job.

They pay me every year for my mamogram, and have paid other claims as well.

I pay $36/mo for the accident indemnity, disability income and hospital plans. Each plan is separate and one can select whichever they choose. I think it's definitely worth the price as I like having that safety net. Once a year they send me a $50 check just for getting a physical too.

I am an aflac agent, but I am new to it. I became one because my husband came down with cancer a couple years ago and if it was not for his aflac cancer policy we would be in grave financial trouble. He has major medical, but after a few days in the hospital for the colon surgery we got hit for the out of pocket expenses which were fifteen thousand dollars!!! AFLAC paid us that plus my husband gets paid every for his once a year CAT scans and other check-ups. I was considering a major career change and decided to become an agent for AFLAC . . .mostly out of thanks.

We have had Aflac for years. I think the reason you're not seeing prices on the website is the pricing depends on the plans offered by your company.

The individual plans will determine what gets covered. Our plan also includes a payment for a yearly "well check" visit. Our kids have all had various injuries and they've paid off on those. If you can afford it, I think it's worth it. Just pay attention to what the plan(s) cover. Not all plans are right for everyone.

We had it but I cancelled it because trying to get payment is like pulling teeth.:headache: We had the accident policy. My husband got hurt at work and needed surgery on top of the x-rays and MRI. I called and they said that everything would be covered, She e-mailed us the paperwork to fill out and had the Dr fill out his part and e-mailed it. She said filed the paperwork and we could expect payment in a few weeks. About a month went by and no payment. I tried contacting the rep we were dealing with but she left and they couldn't find anything. They told me to send them copies of everything and they would look into it. Well it's been over a year and after talking to at least five different people because the previous person left and sending copies to all five people we are still waiting.:sad2:

The bolded is not true for us. Once we submit a claim, assuming it has all the appropriate paperwork, we get our payment (now direct deposited) in 4-5 days. If we don't have the correct paperwork, we get notified what we need to provide.

They paid us $700 when my daughter broke her foot. We've probably missed other opportunities for payment as well because they pay for little things you don't realize. You do have to fill out forms, get proof of injury, ect from your doctor. So a bit of a hassle but worth it.

Some of the policies are based on income or age such as Disability and Life insurance, so you won't see prices. The other reason is that policies vary by state. The other variables are whether it is a group or a direct package. If you have a good agent, they will file your claims for you or at least make sure you have what you need and help you file it.
