How do you say it?

I tend to say effected, as in "It effected her greatly."
I say it that way because effect is like the outcome.
My friends all say affected.
That, personally, IRKS me to no end!
It sounds like affection, which is not an outcome.

So, how do you say it?

So when I mean to say 'It had a profound effect' I say (e)ffect
But when I mean to say 'It affected her profoundly' I say (a)ffect

I can't stand affect.
Or like "Hyperbole" when people pronounce it "HI-Purr-bowl"


Or "Mature" when they pronounce it like "Mat-u-or" (literally spelling those letters out)

When I prefer to pronounce it "Mah-ture"
but..kinda take away the h..
I just make sure I pronounce TURE instead of TORE

But I was asking my mom yesterday and she said think of "affected" as an emotion.
And "effected" as an outcome.

So it depends on the sentence how I say it. I tend to write Effect then ask someone, because I can never remember.

I say all of them. Uh-fect, ee-fect, ah-fect.. etc. xD
I don't say just one of them, it varies from each time I say the word.

effect is a noun.

that's how i remember it.

You'd never think it.
Just like I thought that the way everyone uses is wrong.
