Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster name change

Yes re-upping with Aerosmith would make little sense given what the future might hold in the next ten years for the band but Hannah would turn off a lot of riders (my family included).

Uhm, they're not THAT old. If Keith Richards is still around, I imagine the boys from Boston have another decade in them easy. And they still fill the role of "elder statesmen" and "icons" of American rock like few, if any, other bands can.

If anything, I think a Hannah Montana overlay would be more risky. Does anyone think she can go 10 years without a major media meltdown ala Britney? There was a brilliant South Park episode last season that dealt with this very theme, how the media can't wait to tear her down.

The safest thing all around would be to retheme the coaster to Nemo. The current or whatever is a natural fit. The Tower of Terror can easily be wrapped to become the tube from the aquarium in Nemo. Thematically, the Beauty and the Beast show is problematic; but HS doesn't have a covered Nemo meet and greet.

...and the ride itself would be us humans being carried away through the East Australian Current?? I'm sure the trains could be reconfigured to look like Crush and we all hop on his back for the ride.

No More Nemo! There's already the show in the Animal Kingdom AND the Ride in Epcot! I would be terribly sad if they took the Tower of Terror away too! It's becoming a classic!

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but it is kind of exciting not knowing. It will be a big surprise for all of us when it is announced what the new ride theme will be. (please, please, please no disney channel show stars). I'm ok with them not incorporating nemo into a rollercoaster ride either. I think that that movie has quite enough of the disney spot light in other rides and shows.

Yeah, im pretty much done with pixar themed things for now. It was really weird though, the only thing I want now pixar themed is that scene from monster's inc where they are hanging from those doors and its like a rollercoaster! Ever since the movie came out, I thought that would be the coolest ride. Besides that, im still pretty ok with what they do to rnr, but I would defeintly rather have it stay the same for the time being... and no disney channel stars. I am getting a little sick of all the hsm and hannah montanna everything. I cant wait to see what they decide though.

I am a Aerosmith fan and think the music fits well when your on the ride. I can see both sides of the arguement. I agree Aerosmith has nothing to do with Disney and most kids under 16 are not too familiar with them.

When we were there a couple weeks ago I went on a few times. Once while waiting in line I heard a dad explaining to his son who Aerosmith was. (the son did not want to ride, he was nervous and did eventually get out of line). And then another time while exiting the ride I heard another little boy say to his dad..."that ride was fun ...but the music was awful...who were those old guys anyway?" (heard a smiliar comment on the great movie ride too)

Kids comments crack me up!

Although I love the Muppets I do not think Disney should change the ride so it will appeal to a younger crowd..isn't the wait time long enough anyway?

The pre-show ok the first time you see it on your vacation...but after that I would rather just wait in line and look at memorabila or something to that effect.

I had never heard of it, and even after reading the wikipedia article, had to think about it for quite a while, and I think I understand what it supposedly is...and I will not explain it.

But if that were actually a problem, it could easily have been fixed. It's been what, 9 YEARS now?
