Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster name change

The "shocker" is a known gesture, and I'm not going to to try to explain it on these boards. There's Google, if you really want to know. You can even search the DisBoards to find old threads about it.

Steve Tyler definitely makes the gesture on purpose. He raises his right hand to his forehead as if he's shielding his eyes from the light while he scans the audience for somebody. Then he slowly and deliberately bends his ring finger down while keeping all oh his other fingers straight. Try to do this yourself, and you'll know that it cannot happen by accident.

One might wonder if Steve Tyler knew what the gesture meant - I'm just guessing here, but I think he new.

As to whether Disney could edit it out - I don't know. They'd probably have to reshoot a portion of the video. I'm sure they didn't know about it right away, and it would probably be difficult to reshoot. I think it's telling that Disney won't allow you to purchase a RnRC photo if you're making the gesture.

As for me, I think it's kind of funny. It's totally in character for Steve Tyler, and Disney should have known what they were getting when they signed him up.

Of all the renaming rumors, this one makes the most sense. Recently, Disney has been doing it's best to push The Muppetts to the forefront hoping to capture a new generation of Muppett enthusiasts. Otherwise, their investment for the branding opportunity will fall to the wayside. This includes the new t.v. show currently in production and the movie that's in the works. What an excellent way to bring more Muppetts into DHS. Animal Rocks- I also love that hippie chick

Does anyone know when the contract with Aerosmith expires?

I love the Muppets. I love Animal, Swiss Chef, Fozie Bear and the two cranky old guys who sit up in the balcony!

Given the sarcastic way he says, "I love that idea" or whatever as he does it, I think that's a safe bet.

That's interesting that WDW won't let you buy a picture with the shocker. I've always said my dream Disney job would be the picture checker on Flash, er, Splash Mountain , never occurred to me RnRC would be another employment opportunity.

Don't you think they could have manipulated his hand with CGI if they wanted to? Didn't they remove Rod Serling's cigarette on the Tower of Terror video...and make his mouth move the way they wanted? Sure it would be expensive, but they could do it if it bothered them that much.
