I am anticipating needing an extra bed around the holiday's and was wondering how comfortable the aerobeds are. Have you ever tried one, and what did you think? Thanks!

Yes, I've tried them and they're pretty comfortable. If you decide to buy one, go to Bed, Bath and Beyond and use one of their 20% off coupons.

A good military family has at least one aerobed;) We have 3 varying in sizes. They have survived moving, living on them and even newlyweds:rotfl:

The queen ones we have are raised up and have a pillow top looking thing. We put the most comfortable sheets and blankets we can on it since we have guilt they are sleeping on the aerobed.

Bed, bath and beyond sell all kinds of these as well as JCPenney. I like BBY because I can use my 20% coupon.

I don't mind them. We have had a few.

I would suggest not putting the biggest person on them. My mom has a twin raised on and it is 'tipy' for me but fine for DS.

We had a raised queen but my dad (who is a big guy) ruined it. One of the seams popped. DH and I slept on it for weeks and had no issues. I was pregnant too!

When my daughter moved into her one bedroom apartment (she had been in a tiny studio) I bought a top-of-the-line Aerobed. It's for ME when I come to visit so I no longer have to stay in a hotel!!!

I have a VERY bad back (two surgeries) and find the bed to be very comfortable. It gives me enough support. The only "trouble" I have (and should have bought the one higher up from the floor) is entrance and exit. But that is me, I have trouble bending.

I do find that I need to sleep with sweatpants and socks on in cooler weather because the air in the mattress feels cold to me and I freeze!

Don't buy a cheap one, get a good one!

DD has the kid's "Sleepover" version and it has survived travel, dogs sleeping with her, jumping, well you know kids. It is great and very durable. Definitely spend then money and get the real Aerobed, the better quality is worth the cost.

We have the one that is full bed height. I have slept on it many times and get a good nights sleep but DH and I have never slept on it together. I am very happy with it. Ours is a queen size. It is heavy, being the largest and tallest, but I can manage it myself.

This is so true. My aerobed came with a blanet type mattress pad. I added a second one and I am never cold. You really need to insulate yourself from the air.

We have the raised Queen and find it comfy to sleep on when you add a pillowtop mattress pad. We slept on it for 2 weeks in my parents 5th Wheel on our road trip and never had a problem those 2 weeks.
