DS borrowed my aerobed as he was having out-of-state friends visiting him.

He called me to say after his company left, he had left the aerobed set up in his guest room and he thinks his cat may have bite it, as it has a very slow leak.

I said no big deal (it is 6+years old) and now I have it here at my house all set up and it does have a very slow leak ... my question is HOW do I go about trying to figure out where this leak is ... ? I want to throw a patch on it.

TIA :goodvibes

If you figure it out let me know
our cat thought it made a great trampoline

we cant find the leak (or leaks) either...not like you can submerge the thing like a standard inflatable

:lmao: trampoline ... maybe that is what DS' cat did!!! :lmao: He just assumed she bit it!!!

The leak is so slow that I feel a patch will be fine ... although I did look on Bed, Bath & Beyond's website and they have aerobeds and the prices are pretty good!!! So I may just buy a new one if I cannot find this leak!!!

Hi Kar!!! I see you are living in San Diego now. We love it there!!

Anyways, about the bed, is it the kind you can wipe down? Take a spray bottle or a small cup of water and start pouring little by little over the bed and see if anything bubbles.

Our new aerobed has a material top so we can't do that but our old bed was just the wash off nylon that could have stuff spilled on it.

I hope ya'll are well, my friend.

I should check the BB&B price as well
but the leaky airbed is currently my excuse for limiting the number of overnight guests

We got an Aerobed for Christmas one year. The first time my son slept on it, he woke up on the floor because the thing had deflated during the night!

If you go to the Aerobed website, there is a section for troubleshooting. It say if you can't find a leak, it may be coming from the plug. They have you take the rubber ring out of the plug and soak it in warm water. This is supposed to make it fit better. I tried that and the thing still deflated. I have no idea where the leak might be. It's very annoying!

T, how are you, sweetie!!! How is Matt??? We are great, yup, we moved from the OC to San Diego. DH had a job offer that he just could not refuse ... and we moved here in March!!! We absolutely love San Diego or as I call it; SUN Diego! :sunny:
My DBro, (Col/Army) leaves July 2 for Afghanistan. Please keep him in your prayers for me, T.

Yes, on the aerobed, I can get it wet, the spray bottle idea is great!!! I will get that a try. :thumbsup2

Hmmm, maybe I will try that as well as my DS is just assuming that Kitty is the cause of the leak ... it could be the plug.
