So did my husband? Should I try to modify the reservation online instead of calling? Can you even do that??
Call back and hopefully you get a different CM.

We're staying 11/14 - 11/20. I just called Reservations and tried to change resorts because of this and they say they have NO openings at any other value or Moderate for our stay. NONE What is going on? This is supposed to be a slow time? He also pulled up the announcement on the CM HUB and confirmed that POP will ONLY receive Magic Bands during this period. My hands are tied. We leave tomorrow. There's nothing for it but to go and make the best of it. You know how they say "the things you worry about most usually never even happen". Well, this is the one that did happen. Of all the rotten luck. Pixie Dust In Reverse - Here we come.
I am on the phone with Disney World Reservations now and of course they have never heard anything about this news. She's also saying I can use a Magic Band to pull a paper Fast Pass, soooo glad the keep the reservation operators informed.
Oh wait, now the supervisor says 3 fast passes per day only applies to ALL resorts, not just Pop Century and there's nothing they can do for me. I've asked to speak to someone else.
They went from saying because Disney didn't notify me officially that there's no way this announcement is true to oh, yes you're right, 3 fast passes only for everyone no matter what resort you're staying in. FML
Maybe, although there is operationally a lot less involved with this phase of the change, so the roll out will probably be a lot quicker. i wouldn't be surpirised if they just run with the change at Pop for a week and then roll it out to ALL other resorts the week after that.
Not sure what I am going to do. Probably switch resorts. Guess I will be looking at AS Music tonight.

This is something that is puzzling me. Will they ever let these people know? Anyone checking in can be told by the front desk but what about those people who are already there?

Frankly I see no real difference between Pop and the All Stars. I don't think you'll be missing anything if you are able to make the switch.).
But do you have the free dining package? If so, that could be why they find nothing available (because all of the free dining package rooms are sold out).
I wonder if some CM's are saying this as a way to deter people from switching? I dunno. It's shady.
Perhaps this person has not come back to join the discussion because they had to go to the parks to go to work and make magic for his guests? Maybe. Although I am a new member here, being for two months, all of my posts have been much more informative, useful, reliable and courteous than all of yours. For what its worth, it is true. I am the first Cast Member to report this news anywhere, check the timestamps. There isn't any need to question it. Here's your proof.
Edit: If comments like yours continue, I may reconsider passing along information that I consider useful to thousands of guests planning their vacations.
As part of our test-and-adjust process for MyMagic+, Guests arriving at Disneys Pop Century Resort beginning November 14 will be issued only a MagicBand for use throughout their stay at the Walt Disney World Resort.
What does this mean for those of us checking in to Pop Century on the 19th since this is the end date for the test? Should we wait until the 20th to ask for our KTTW cards?
That's a good question.
The dates in the post above don't make sense. One part says "beginning November 14" and the columns say starting November 12 and ending November 19. Has anyone asked about the disparity or am I missing something?
Those dates are not the dates of the test. It says "beginning November 14". I don't think there will be an end date - that is just how it will be from now on at Pop. Expect other resorts to be quickly added as we go along.
The test begins on November 14. The Advisory End Date is November 19, however, that is not the final day of the test. This is no longer the testing phase, this is the test-and-adjust phase. Next phase would be the rollout. The advisory end date is just the date that it will disappear from our advisories, as we need to know that information by that day.
