I don't know if anyone has the July 9-14 on their radar, but it is noteworthy to mention that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Major League Baseball) will be hosting the 2010 All-Star Game at Angel Stadium, which is a few miles down the road from DL.
Aside from the game, there will be a host of baseball-themed events (Fan Fest) at the convention center and other local venues. Expect off-DL hotels to be fully-booked during this period. Also, expect a lot of die-hard baseball fans to visit DL for the first time.
Disney has also teamed-up with MLB to place decorated 7-foot Mickeys at landmarks all over the L.A. area (all decorated with a specific baseball team - replicas can be purchased at mlb.com).
